PMS 7676 C from the Pantone PMS system is a medium-dark, muted purple. The color is subdued, professional, and balanced, with a visual character that is reserved, technical, and understated. It tends to convey stability and sophistication in applications where a more vivid or bright purple would be visually dominant.

- PMS 7676 C appears medium-dark in perceived lightness (LRV: 15.82). - The color has a cool overall tendency, with minimal visual warmth. - PMS 7676 C exhibits moderate to low chroma, resulting in a subdued saturation level. - The undertone is a complex mix of blue and red, creating a mature violet hue with a neutral, slightly muted base. - The color’s appearance may shift under different lighting, tending toward a bluer or greyer tone in cool or neutral light. - PMS 7676 C can appear smoother and more unified in semi-matte and satin finishes; higher gloss may slightly amplify desaturation and surface reflection.

PMS 7676 C works effectively in environments that require a stable, unobtrusive, yet easily brand-distinguished violet. It is well suited for branded displays, signage, and architectural accents where an assertive but restrained color statement is needed. Careful evaluation is advised in both daylight and artificial lighting, as the color can look cooler or more greyed depending on conditions. Relative to brighter violets, PMS 7676 C is less likely to overwhelm a palette but may require thoughtful surface prep for uniform coverage given its muted nature.

Similar colors:
PMS 7677 C is a slightly lighter and less muted violet, appearing a touch more vibrant.

PMS 7672 C is deeper and more saturated, giving a stronger, more dramatic purple impression.

PMS 7673 C is similar in depth but appears warmer due to more pronounced red undertones.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7676 C

How can I ensure consistent results when reordering PMS 7676 C paint for branding projects?

To achieve the most consistent results with PMS 7676 C on repeat orders, always use the same product type and sheen as previous orders. Reference the same Pantone PMS 7676 C standard or approval method each time. Changing formats, finishes, or approval targets can lead to noticeable shifts in appearance, which may impact brand consistency on displays or promotional elements. Document your choices for product and sheen so future orders align closely.

What is the best way to apply PMS 7676 C spray paint to get an even, professional finish?

For PMS 7676 C spray paint, apply several thin coats rather than a single heavy coat. Allow enough time for each coat to dry before adding the next. This method helps prevent runs and unevenness and improves color uniformity, especially with this muted purple shade. Thinner coats also help manage coverage on edges and textured surfaces where saturated colors may struggle to hide the substrate in fewer passes.

Why does PMS 7676 C sometimes look different under different lighting conditions?

The appearance of PMS 7676 C can shift noticeably depending on lighting. It may look cooler or more gray under neutral or LED lights and a bit bluer or warmer under other sources. To avoid surprises, always evaluate sample panels or finished surfaces of PMS 7676 C in the same lighting where they will be installed. This helps ensure acceptance on branded displays and architectural features.

How much area will a single can of PMS 7676 C spray paint typically cover?

The coverage of PMS 7676 C spray paint usually ranges from about 20 to 25 square feet per can, depending on the surface texture, number of coats, and application technique. Highly saturated and muted violets like PMS 7676 C may require additional coats for full opacity, particularly on contrasting substrates. Estimate your total area and consider buying extra if uniform color coverage is critical for your branding environment.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7676 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7676 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7676 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
