How do I place an order on MyPerfectColor?
There are two components to buying paint on MyPerfectColor: (1) picking your Color and (2) selecting your Paint. In order to buy a color, you need to indicate the type of paint, the sheen, and the size you want. For example, you may want a gallon of flat interior wall paint, or a glossy spray paint or floor paint for your basement. Depending on the specific color you want, you may have the choice of any of these. Here are further instructions on how to choose your color and place your order.
Will I pay sales tax on my order?
Sales tax is applicable only if you are located in one of the following states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Do you ship internationally?
We are currently shipping throughout the United States, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Republic of Ireland, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. Other countries may be available upon request.
What is the lead time on my paint order?
All of our paint colors are made to order. The production lead time is the amount of time we need to make the paint. The production lead time ranges from 1-5 days and depends upon the type of paint and the quantity ordered. MyPerfectColor usually operates Monday - Friday and sometimes on the weekends based on demand.

Do I need to pay a batch fee on a reorder?
Yes. Each paint color is custom manufactured per your specifications. Thus, for many of our orders, there is a per-color Batch Production Fee, in addition to per-item fees. The Batch Production Fee covers the batch-related work required to make, package, and label the paint in the applicator/container of your choice (e.g. spray paint, paint pen, gallons). This allows us to offer a Minimum Order Size of only 1 unit while keeping per unit pricing low.

If you place a single order with multiple items (say, spray paint and paint pens) in the same color & sheen, you will only be charged a single Batch Production Fee for all of those items.

If you place a single order with multiple colors & sheens, you may be charged Batch Production Fees for each color/sheen combo, since each requires color preparation, manufacturing, and packaging.

How do I custom match a color?

MyPerfectColor is home to a database of over 250,000 colors that have been previously matched, but for those customers who have a unique product, color, or material that they need to be converted into the perfect paint color (or who need a sheen/finish matched on a known color), we also offer a variety of Custom Color Matching Services.

In these cases, we will often need you to send us a sample (either a part, chip or other object). Once received, our expert team will match the color and finish of your product to your specifications, and mix and ship the perfectly matched paint directly to you. What determines the shipping price?
There are a number of factors that determine the price of shipping including the weight of the product, the type of product (i.e. is it hazmat?), the number of boxes in your order, your specific address (i.e. where is it going to), the shipping method (ground, air, business, or residential). With FedEx, a lot of the cost is in the first pound and then it becomes cheaper after. While USPS is less expensive for light objects (15 oz or less), we are not allowed to ship paint due to it being HazMat.
What are your guarantees?
We have a price match guarantee and a paint color match guarantee.
Why isn’t Free Shipping an option for my order?
MyPerfectColor is no longer offering Free Shipping for paint orders.
My paint is the wrong color, can I return it?

Since all paint is custom made to order, all sales are final. No returns or refunds will be offered. MyPerfectColor recommends selecting and specifying colors using physical color swatches as this is what MyPerfectColor will use to reproduce the color. MyPerfectColor makes and keeps a batch sample for every order. This batch sample is used to verify the accuracy of your order before shipping.

If you feel MyPerfectColor has made a mistake, or if your order is lost or arrives damaged, please contact customer service for a replacement or refund.

Color images displayed on the website show approximate color only and are not intended to show exact paint color. Variations in monitors and printers will affect the display of colors. The actual paint color may vary from these representations. If you choose to order paint based on digital color values or an on-screen image, you do so at your own risk. If the batch sample created by MyPerfectColor matches the original swatch of that color at MyPerfectColor's facility, no refund or replacement will be offered.

Any paint ordered using digital color values is at the buyer's own risk. All sales are final for this service.

Color formulations are calculated matches based on color paint chips (fandecks) from the original manufacturer of the color. Since all color chips are affected by age, light, heat, and mechanical coating processes, paint color chips may vary slightly in color, or finish from the actual paint in the container. The finish (sheen) of the paint may also vary from the original.

Please always double-check your paint colors before painting, as well as testing the coating and your coating process on a scrap to ensure compatibility with your substrate.

What if my order arrives damaged?
MyPerfectColor.com takes great care in preparing shipments for safe and effective delivery. We use high-quality crush resistant boxes and seal all cans with plastic overseals to prevent cans from opening during shipment. That said, when the rare occurrence of a damaged box occurs, here is what you need to do.If the damage is concealed, then Federal Express will have to inspect the package. Please call 1-800-Go-Fedex and tell them you received a product with concealed damage and they will tell you what to do. Once we receive the claim we will resend the merchandise. If the damage is not concealed, Federal Express will usually not send the package and will notify MyPerfectColor of the problem, and we will resend the merchandise right away.
How long will it take for me to receive my order?

All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 days to ship.

The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time.

What do I do if I have a question on my charges, or if I need a copy of my receipt/invoice?

Credits usually take 3-5 business days to appear on your account.
