How do I place an order on MyPerfectColor?

There are two components to buying paint on MyPerfectColor: (1) picking your Color and (2) selecting your Paint. In order to buy a color, you need to indicate the type of paint, the sheen, and the size you want. For example, you may want a gallon of flat interior wall paint, or a glossy spray paint or floor paint for your basement. Depending on the specific color you want, you may have the choice of any of these. Here are further instructions on how to choose your color and place your order.

How much spray paint do I need?

Spray paint is difficult to gauge because the amount of spray paint used is highly variable and dependent on how it is applied and the amount of overspray you generate. The number of spray paint cans needed will depend on the overall square footage of the surface you need to cover, the amount of paint in each spray can, and the number of coats you need to apply. You can utilize our paint calculator to get a better idea how much paint you may need.

What determines the shipping price?

There are a number of factors that determine the price of shipping including the weight of the product, the type of product (i.e. is it hazmat?), the number of boxes in your order, your specific address (i.e. where is it going to), the shipping method (ground, air, business, or residential). With FedEx, a lot of the cost is in the first pound and then it becomes cheaper after. While USPS is less expensive for light objects (15 oz or less), we are not allowed to ship paint due to it being HazMat.

Do you provide paint in cans so I can use my own sprayer?

Most, if not all, of the paint types we offer, can be used in a sprayer. Once you place an order with MyPerfectColor, you will receive an email with technical information about the product and instructions on how to use the paint. Normally this includes information about spraying and other application tips.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?

All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship.

The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time.

What type of paint are the colors made with?

For residential paint (architectural paint), MyPerfectColor uses a variety of ingredients to create or match any color imaginable. For Industrial paints including spray paint, touch-up bottles, and paint pens are made from proprietary ingredients and a wide variety of industrial pigments and inks. The spray paint and touch up paint is made with an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use.
