PMS 4515 C is a Pantone Matching System color falling within the Pantone PMS collection. The color embodies an understated, soft, and utilitarian vibe, with qualities that are muted, natural, and weathered. It offers a neutral but warm appearance that is practical for applications where a subdued yet distinguishable presence is desired.

PMS 4515 C appears as a medium-light, muted khaki with an LRV of 37.97, which means it is neither particularly bright nor especially dark. The color exhibits a warm tendency, aligned with yellow-green hues but tempered for a soft overall effect. PMS 4515 C has moderate saturation, resulting in a low-key chromatic character that avoids vividness. The undertone tends toward olive and beige, making it feel earthy and less vibrant than other more chromatic greens or yellows. The finish of PMS 4515 C can noticeably affect its warmth and depth, with matte finishes emphasizing its muted character and gloss finishes highlighting subtle undertones.

PMS 4515 C works well in environments and branded elements where a soft, earthy background is needed to support more vivid graphics or convey stability, authenticity, or approachability. It is best deployed when nuanced, non-intrusive color is required, such as in large brand backdrops, signage, and environmental displays. When specifying this color, evaluate surface prep and finish selection carefully, as shifts in gloss and lighting can subtly alter perceived undertones and warmth. Relative to similar colors, PMS 4515 C will generally present a more neutral, grounded appearance—neither aggressively yellow nor excessively green—helping avoid visual fatigue in large-scale applications.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 4515 C

What should I know about safety and VOCs when using paint products matched to PMS 4515 C?

Safety procedures and VOC content for PMS 4515 C paint depend on the specific product format and base you select. Always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the exact paint or spray paint you are using to understand ventilation, protective equipment, and handling requirements. Follow all manufacturer instructions to ensure safe application in your workspace.

Are there special considerations for applying PMS 4515 C paint to plastics or low-energy surfaces?

Plastics and low-energy surfaces can be difficult for paints, including PMS 4515 C, to bond with. Some types of plastic may require specific primers or adhesion promoters to achieve proper coating performance. Before production, test PMS 4515 C paint on the actual substrate to confirm adhesion and appearance, and consult the product recommendations for your chosen paint format.

How is PMS 4515 C used in prototyping and concept models for brand alignment?

PMS 4515 C can be specified for prototypes and concept models to represent brand colors as intended in finished environments. When developing prototypes, select a paint format that matches your workflow and evaluate PMS 4515 C on the actual materials under your intended lighting. Pre-production testing helps confirm that the color meets visual brand requirements before scaling up display or production runs.

How much area does a spray can of PMS 4515 C cover, and how should I plan quantity?

Covers per spray can of PMS 4515 C depend on application method, surface texture, and the number of coats applied. As a general guideline, one 11-12 ounce spray can covers about 20 to 25 square feet with one coat on a smooth, primed surface. For best results, plan for extra product if your project requires multiple coats or if covering porous or textured materials. Testing a small area first helps confirm actual coverage in your environment.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 4515 C?

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. Can I use the Pantone PMS 4515 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How much area will one spray can cover? And what is Pantone PMS 4515 C spray paint made of?

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 4515 C. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. Do I need a primer for Pantone PMS 4515 C?
The need for primer for Pantone PMS 4515 C depends on the type of paint, the substrate being painted and where it will be located. See our Primer Selection Table to see what primer you might need and learn more about when you might need a primer. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 4515 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 4515 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
