PMS 4525 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, a standardized color system widely referenced for precise branding and production specifications. This color has a balanced, sand-like appearance and is often described as neutral, soft, professional, and low-profile with a subtle warmth. It sits near the midpoint between dark and light on the LRV scale, serving as an operationally practical beige or khaki in brand contexts where minimal visual distraction and broader compatibility are important.
PMS 4525 C appears moderately light, with an LRV of 49.89 placing it close to the midpoint in terms of reflectance. The color trends warm-neutral, with a muted yellow undertone that avoids overt golden or green notes. Saturation is low to moderate, giving the color a subdued, earthy appearance rather than vibrancy. The undertone is distinctly beige, avoiding strong pink or orange hues. The color is not highly finish-sensitive but may shift subtly towards increased warmth or reflectance in higher-sheen coatings.
PMS 4525 C is functionally suited for situations requiring a neutral background or branding element that does not dominate a visual field. It is frequently used when a utilitarian, approachable impression is needed, while still providing recognizable color control for branded environments. Due to its mid-lightness and muted character, it generally performs consistently under varied lighting, but can appear slightly warmer in incandescent or warmer LED light. PMS 4525 C generally provides reliable coverage compared to more chromatic or brighter PMS colors and maintains uniformity across typical paint finishes.

PMS 4525 C, like all Pantone colors, can look different depending on the type of lighting where it is viewed. Warm light, such as incandescent bulbs, can make PMS 4525 C appear slightly warmer or more yellow, while cool LED or daylight may give it a more neutral look. Because brand standards often require precise color, it is important to evaluate samples of PMS 4525 C in the actual lighting and environment where the color will be used so that the final result aligns with your expectations.
For brand projects involving PMS 4525 C, it is best practice to order a sample and evaluate it on the real substrate and under the final lighting conditions before full production. This allows brand teams to confirm that PMS 4525 C meets expectations and ensures that color consistency is maintained in the intended context. Approving a sample before a large rollout reduces the risk of costly rework and helps avoid surprises during final installation.
Pantone books provide standard color references printed on specific papers under specific lighting. When PMS 4525 C is formulated in paint, the appearance can shift due to factors like finish sheen and the substrate being coated. These differences mean that PMS 4525 C paint may not appear identical to the chip in a Pantone book. To ensure alignment with brand standards, test PMS 4525 C paint on your actual material and evaluate it next to your Pantone reference under typical lighting conditions for your project.
If your project requires PMS 4525 C on a tight timeline, expedited production options are available during checkout. If you have a specific deadline, contact MyPerfectColor before ordering to confirm timing and help ensure your order meets your schedule. This helps avoid any delays for important marketing or brand installations using PMS 4525 C.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
