PMS 3155 C belongs to the Pantone PMS collection, a standardized system widely used for specifying accurate color in brand, marketing, and display fabrication contexts. This shade reads as a rich, dark cyan, with a clear cool orientation and a strong chromatic character. Its vibe is technical, serious, assertive, and visually impactful while remaining approachable. Typical applications prioritize consistency and branding precision.
PMS 3155 C presents as a dark color, with a low LRV (9.01), and therefore absorbs much of the ambient light. The color has a distinctly cool character, positioned between blue and green on the spectrum. PMS 3155 C exhibits moderate to strong saturation, resulting in a bold but not overly vivid appearance. The undertone shows pronounced blue-green clarity with little visible grayness or muddiness. The color’s appearance may shift under different lighting conditions; surface gloss or sheen can emphasize its depth and richness.
PMS 3155 C works well in brand, display, and architectural settings where a deep, cool cyan supports visual authority and structured identity. It is best evaluated under the lighting that matches the installation environment, as both artificial and natural light will impact perceived hue and depth. The color’s higher saturation means opacity can be lower on certain substrates; additional coats may be necessary for uniform coverage, especially in lower-gloss finishes. Compared to similar dark blue-greens, PMS 3155 C maintains a cleaner chromatic presence without leaning excessively blue or green, resulting in stable visual performance across large areas.
Similar colors:
PMS 308 C: Slightly darker and more blue, resulting in a more somber and technical appearance.
PMS 3165 C: Darker and more muted, shifting further into green, with less chromatic vibrancy.
PMS 3145 C: Lighter and marginally more blue, providing a brighter and more energetic impression.
PMS 320 C: Similar in hue but noticeably lighter and more saturated, giving a bolder, more visually prominent impact.

When specifying Pantone PMS 3155 C for pop-ups or retail settings, evaluate how the color appears under your actual lighting conditions, as this deep blue-green can look different in natural versus artificial light. Since PMS 3155 C has low light reflectance and strong saturation, be aware that extra coats may be needed for uniform coverage, especially on lighter substrates or with lower-gloss sheens. Sampling the color on the real surface and under installed lighting is recommended to confirm appearance before making large orders.
The durability of Pantone PMS 3155 C spray paint depends on proper surface preparation, the selected paint type, and environmental exposure. For the best results, clean and prime the substrate as recommended for your material, and consider applying a suitable topcoat if added protection or specific sheen is needed. For high-traffic or outdoor retail settings, choose the paint format best matched to your durability needs and environment. Always check specific requirements before large installations to maintain brand consistency and finish longevity.
For projects requiring formal brand approval, order a small sample of Pantone PMS 3155 C in the intended finish and substrate. Evaluate the sample under the same lighting and environment where the final installation will occur. This allows your team or stakeholders to confirm that the color meets branding requirements before committing to larger quantities. Sampling helps avoid misinterpretation and supports brand consistency across materials.
Pantone PMS 3155 C paint is intended for brand color reproduction on new builds, displays, or marketing assets, not for touch-up or repair. If you need a touch-up-grade match for an existing coated item, especially if the finish or aging is a concern, send a physical part for custom color matching to achieve the closest result. Using the standard Pantone match may not align visually with existing finishes due to material and process differences.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 3155 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
