PMS 237 C is a distinctive, vibrant pink from the Pantone Matching System collection. It presents a lively, saturated character with a cool undertone and a moderate lightness. The color is often described as striking, energetic, and contemporary. Its vividness supports use cases where visual clarity, strong distinction, and memorability are operational objectives, especially in environments focused on marketing and brand specification.

PMS 237 C has a moderate lightness, with an LRV of 39.34, resulting in balanced visibility without being overly stark or dark. The color displays a cool tendency, with a noticeable violet undertone in most lighting conditions. PMS 237 C exhibits high saturation, contributing to its intense and assertive appearance. The undertone is predominantly violet-pink, ensuring a vivid but not overly warm effect. This color can be sensitive to finish, with gloss finishes amplifying vibrancy and matte finishes appearing slightly subdued.

PMS 237 C is frequently used in brand-aligned display graphics for events, retail fixtures, and signage requiring precise Pantone-matched pink hues. The color is often specified in marketing collateral and prototypes where exact color reproduction of a corporate pink-violet is necessary.

PMS 237 C functions effectively in applications demanding color accuracy and high visual recognition, such as branded displays or prototype models. Evaluate the color under intended lighting, as its appearance can shift between more vibrant or muted depending on gloss level and surround. Highly saturated pinks may require multiple coats for uniform, true-to-spec coverage, particularly over darker substrates. Compared to similar colors, PMS 237 C maintains a clear violet influence without trending toward pure magenta or soft pastel tones.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

The following examples reflect commonly cited branding associations and are based on publicly referenced design usage; they are illustrative, not exhaustive or exclusive. Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 237 C

Why is it important to order PMS 237 C from a licensed and authorized Pantone producer?

PMS 237 C is a Pantone standard, and licensed reproduction ensures you receive a color matched to the official Pantone reference. MyPerfectColor is authorized to reproduce Pantone PMS colors like PMS 237 C in paint, providing reliability for brand and marketing applications. Using an authorized source helps ensure color accuracy, alignment with brand standards, and minimizes the risk of unexpected deviations that could compromise brand consistency for displays and installations.

When should I sample PMS 237 C before ordering full production quantities?

Sampling PMS 237 C is recommended for large, high-visibility installations, projects requiring formal brand approval, or when the color will be evaluated under specific lighting and finish conditions. Because PMS 237 C is highly saturated, coverage, vibrancy, and appearance may vary based on substrate or gloss level. Sampling lets you review the actual result and confirm it meets requirements before committing to production, which is important for brand-facing and marketing-critical environments.

What does it mean to order a Pantone PMS 237 C paint match and what does it not mean?

Ordering a Pantone PMS 237 C paint match means your paint is formulated to visually match the PMS 237 C Pantone standard color as closely as possible. The PMS code is a target visualization, not a paint formula or finish specification. This means PMS 237 C in paint aims to match the Pantone reference, but variations can occur due to substrate, application, and lighting. It does not guarantee a proprietary formula or identical performance to coatings used in other products or industries.

How do I choose between interior and exterior paint types for PMS 237 C?

For PMS 237 C, select an interior paint version for projects and displays used exclusively indoors, where environmental exposure is limited. Choose an exterior paint type if the installation or branding element must withstand outdoor conditions like sun, rain, or temperature changes. This decision helps ensure the PMS 237 C color remains visually consistent and meets durability expectations for your intended environment.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 237 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 237 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 237 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 237 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 237 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
