PMS 2345 U is a Pantone PMS color used as a precise visual target in branding and specification contexts. It presents a vivid, warm orange character with a bold, expressive presence that feels energetic, contemporary, and visually assertive without drifting into red.
The color shows a mid-range lightness with an LRV of 37.0 and leans clearly warm in appearance. It exhibits high saturation for strong visual impact and includes a subtle red undertone that adds depth.
PMS 2345 U works well where strong color recognition and visibility are important, such as branded displays or marketing elements. Because of its saturation, it may benefit from a light or tinted primer and multiple thin coats to achieve even coverage, especially over darker substrates. Finish choice and lighting can noticeably affect perceived brightness, so evaluating a physical sample under installed conditions can help confirm expectations.
Similar colors:
Pantone 2347 C: slightly darker and more red-leaning, with increased visual weight.
Pantone 1505 C: lighter and more open, with a brighter, less dense orange appearance.
Pantone 165 C: more neutral and slightly less saturated, reducing intensity.

When specifying PMS 2345 U for pop-ups or retail environments, treat the Pantone code as the visual color target, not a finish specification. Plan to evaluate samples under the actual lighting where the installation will be viewed, since lighting can change how saturation and brightness are perceived. For larger or high-visibility elements, confirm coverage and uniformity on the intended substrate before full production, especially because vivid Pantone colors can require additional coats for consistent appearance.
A standard Pantone PMS match for PMS 2345 U is appropriate when the Pantone reference itself is the approved brand color target. This includes marketing displays, signage, exhibits, prototypes, and brand experiences where visual alignment to the Pantone guide matters more than matching an existing material or finish. If your goal is brand consistency across vendors and fast turnaround for marketing use, ordering a standard PMS match is typically the correct approach.
PMS 2345 U defines a color appearance in the Pantone system, but it does not specify sheen, substrate, or application method. Existing finishes often vary due to material, texture, age, and lighting, which means a Pantone-based match is unlikely to blend invisibly. For this reason, PMS colors including PMS 2345 U should not be used as a touch-up reference when the goal is to repair or blend into an existing coating.
PMS 2345 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications. Common options include spray paint, paint pens, and brush-in-cap bottles, depending on the level of control and scale of application you need. Choose the format based on whether you are coating larger surfaces, detailed elements, or prototype components, and consider sampling first for high-visibility projects.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2345 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
