PMS 5773 U is a Pantone PMS color used as a standardized visual reference in brand, display, and design systems. It presents as an olive-leaning yellow-green with a grounded, organic character that reads calm and utilitarian.
Color characteristicsThe color reads as a mid-depth green with an LRV of 30.41 and leans warm due to its yellow-green hue. It shows moderate saturation with an earthy undertone that can appear slightly browner under warm lighting.
Practical applicationPMS 5773 U is often selected where a natural, subdued green is preferred over brighter or more chromatic options. Consistent priming can help maintain even appearance across substrates, and finish choice and lighting should be evaluated with a physical sample to confirm the intended look.
Similar colors:
PMS 5777 U: lighter and more open, with a softer, more muted green appearance.
PMS 5783 U: darker and slightly browner, with increased visual weight.
PMS 577 C: more saturated and cleaner, with less of the earthy undertone.

PMS 5773 U is a Pantone reference standard, not a paint formula. Pantone books are printed on specific paper under controlled conditions, while paint is applied to real substrates with different textures and sheen levels.
You should expect a visually close match to the Pantone reference, but not an identical appearance in every situation. Sheen, substrate, film thickness, and lighting can all shift how PMS 5773 U is perceived. For brand-critical applications, ordering a sample and evaluating it on the actual material and under installed lighting is the safest way to confirm acceptance.
Yes, PMS 5773 U can be produced in paint types suitable for either interior or exterior use. The Pantone code defines the color target only, not the performance or durability of the paint.
When ordering, choose the paint type based on where it will be used. Interior environments prioritize appearance and finish, while exterior applications require coatings designed to handle weather, UV exposure, and temperature changes. Selecting the correct paint type ensures PMS 5773 U performs as expected in its intended environment.
The 'U' in PMS 5773 U indicates the Pantone series reference used for this color. Pantone colors can appear in different series or formats, and those references are not interchangeable.
When ordering paint, make sure PMS 5773 U matches the exact Pantone code specified in your brand standards or project documentation. Confirming the full code, including any suffix, helps avoid ordering a color that looks similar but is not the approved reference.
If timing is critical, expedited production options may be available when ordering PMS 5773 U paint. Expedited service can reduce standard lead times, depending on the product format and order size.
For hard deadlines tied to events, installations, or launches, it is recommended to contact MyPerfectColor before ordering to confirm current lead times and whether expedited production will meet your schedule.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 5773 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
