Pantone® PMS 577 C is a subdued, light-to-mid green-valued tone with an understated and natural appearance. The color reads as organic, muted, soft, and professional, contributing a balanced, environmentally aligned presence in physical and branded applications. It falls within a system designed for visual consistency across print, display, and environmental graphics, supporting operational needs in marketing and fabrication.
PMS 577 C exhibits moderate lightness, with an LRV of 53.21, making it distinctly lighter than many mid-greens yet avoiding an overly pale look. The color presents a cool tendency, leaning more toward a botanical green rather than a yellow or blue-green. PMS 577 C displays relatively low-to-moderate saturation, producing a muted, calm visual impact. The undertone of this color is soft and slightly earthy, showing subtle gray influences that keep it understated. PMS 577 C may be sensitive to finish differences; gloss and matte finishes can shift its perceived intensity and temperature.
PMS 577 C works well where a relaxed, natural visual identity is required, or where a green must evoke professionalism without sharp vibrancy. It is suitable in environments that benefit from biophilic or nature-inspired design themes or in brand systems requiring a gentle, approachable green. Evaluate under installed lighting and intended finish, as both can impact the color’s neutrality and softness. Versus other greens, PMS 577 C supplies a lower chroma, less saturated presence, reducing visual harshness but possibly requiring confirmation with physical samples for final approval in brand-critical displays.

PMS 577 C is often specified as a brand color for signs, displays, and exhibits where consistent visual branding is required across various materials and production runs. In these settings, Pantone PMS codes serve as a reference target for fabricators to visually align painted or coated components with brand standards. However, the final appearance of PMS 577 C can shift due to differences in substrate, finish, or lighting conditions. For critical brand applications, it is recommended to sample PMS 577 C on the actual material before full production, allowing stakeholders to assess the color under intended viewing conditions and confirm brand alignment.
When applying PMS 577 C paint to plastics or other low-surface-energy materials, it is important to recognize that adhesion can vary widely between plastic types. Some plastics require specialized primers or surface preparation to achieve reliable paint adhesion. Before starting production, it is recommended to test PMS 577 C paint and any primer on your specific plastic material. This testing ensures both adequate adhesion and correct color appearance, reducing the risk of delamination or color variation in the finished item.
Ordering Pantone PMS 577 C in paint means you are requesting a coating visually matched to the Pantone PMS 577 C color standard. The Pantone PMS code is a color reference used for consistent branding and visual alignment, not a specification for any particular paint formula, type, or finish. When you order PMS 577 C paint, the goal is to achieve a close visual match under defined conditions, but substrate, gloss, and lighting may affect the result. It does not guarantee a match to other coatings or products labeled as PMS 577 C, nor does it specify particular performance attributes beyond color.
A single spray can of PMS 577 C typically covers about 20 square feet with one coat, though actual coverage may vary depending on the surface texture, application method, and whether multiple coats are needed for full color opacity and uniformity. For brand and display work, two coats are often recommended for consistent color and appearance. To estimate the quantity needed, measure your total project area, consider the number of coats and account for surface type. For highly visible or brand-critical applications, order extra for testing and sample panels.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 577 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
