PMS 5777 U is a Pantone PMS color defined by its muted yellow-green appearance and grounded visual character. It conveys a calm, restrained tone that feels organic and functional rather than bright or decorative.
The color sits at a mid-range lightness with an LRV of 39.36 and leans warm due to its yellow influence. Its moderate saturation and earthy undertone allow it to read as subdued and controlled, with subtle shifts toward olive under certain lighting conditions.
PMS 5777 U performs well in brand-facing environments that benefit from a neutral green presence, such as signage backdrops, institutional graphics, or architectural display elements. Smooth surface preparation and thoughtful sheen selection can help minimize visual texture, as higher sheen levels may emphasize surface irregularities. Lighting conditions play an important role, with cooler light muting the green and warmer light enhancing its yellow undertone.
Similar colors:
Pantone 5777 C: slightly cleaner and more saturated, with less earthy softness.
Pantone 5767 U: lighter and more open, with a softer green presence.
Pantone 5787 U: darker and heavier, with increased olive depth.

Pantone PMS 5777 U is a visual color standard, not a paint formula. Any paint match is an interpretation of that printed reference. Differences in substrate, finish, film thickness, and lighting can all affect how close the painted result appears.
MyPerfectColor focuses on producing visually accurate matches for branding and display use, but exact duplication across all materials is not guaranteed. For critical brand applications or large installs, ordering a sample and reviewing it under your actual lighting and finish conditions is the best way to confirm acceptance.
When painting metal or existing powder-coated surfaces, preparation matters. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and properly scuffed so the new coating can adhere evenly.
Existing coating color, gloss level, and texture can influence how PMS 5777 U appears after application. Because of these variables, it is recommended to test the color on a prepared sample part before committing to full production, especially for brand-facing components.
Yes. Pantone codes often include suffixes or series identifiers that indicate the intended reference, such as the printing or substrate context used to define the color.
PMS 5777 U should be ordered exactly as specified in your brand standards or project documentation. If you are unsure whether the suffix is correct for your application, confirm the intended Pantone reference before ordering to avoid receiving a match based on the wrong standard.
Paint matched to Pantone PMS 5777 U is made to order. Production time can vary based on the paint format selected and current production volume.
In general, custom-matched Pantone paints require additional time compared to off-the-shelf colors. If your project has a fixed deadline, it is best to account for production time and shipping when placing your order, or contact MyPerfectColor to confirm timing before checkout.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 5777 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
