PMS 4515 U is a Pantone PMS color specified as a visual reference for consistent brand communication across materials. It conveys an earthy, softened yellow-green vibe that reads natural, subdued, balanced, and practical.
The color appears mid-light with an LRV of 37.99 and shows a warm-leaning yellow-green tendency. It has moderate saturation and an olive-leaning undertone that keeps it restrained rather than vivid.
PMS 4515 U works well in brand environments that need a calm, organic presence without strong visual dominance. Lighting can influence whether it reads greener or more yellow, and even surface preparation and finish help support consistent results.
Similar colors:
PMS 4515 C: slightly darker and more saturated, with a crisper yellow-green appearance.
PMS 451 U: lighter and softer, with a more neutral and subdued tone.
PMS 4505 U: darker and more olive, with increased visual weight.

Pantone PMS 4515 U is a color reference used to communicate a visual target, not a material-specific formula. For prototypes and concept models, the goal is visual brand alignment rather than final production durability.
Choose a paint format that fits how the prototype will be built and viewed, such as spray paint for even coverage on display parts or small components. Always evaluate the color on the actual substrate and under the lighting where the model will be reviewed, since material and lighting can shift how PMS 4515 U appears.
Pantone PMS 4515 U can be matched into paint for plastics, but plastics vary widely in surface energy and paint adhesion behavior. Some plastics may require a specific primer or surface preparation step to achieve proper adhesion.
Before committing to a full run, test the PMS 4515 U paint on the exact plastic you plan to use. This helps confirm adhesion, coverage, and appearance, and reduces the risk of failure during production or display use.
Durability for Pantone PMS 4515 U spray paint depends on surface preparation, the type of paint selected, and whether a clear topcoat is used. Pantone matching focuses on visual color accuracy, not on guaranteeing performance in specific environments.
If the painted item will be handled, transported, or exposed to challenging conditions, choose a paint type and optional topcoat that fits those needs. Testing under expected use conditions is the best way to set realistic durability expectations.
Apply Pantone PMS 4515 U spray paint using multiple light coats rather than one heavy coat. This helps improve coverage, reduce runs, and produce a more uniform appearance.
Allow appropriate flash time between coats so solvents can escape before applying the next layer. Always test your application process on a sample piece first, especially when working with new substrates or finishes.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 4515 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 4515 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
