PMS 4505 U is a Pantone PMS color commonly specified as a standardized brand and display reference. It conveys a grounded, organic appearance that reads as restrained and functional rather than decorative.
The color appears mid-dark, with an LRV of 25.97, and carries a warm yellow-green bias. Its moderate saturation and earthy undertone can shift toward olive or khaki depending on lighting conditions.
PMS 4505 U performs well in brand-facing applications where subtlety and stability are important. Because it can deepen under warm lighting, evaluating a real paint sample in the intended environment helps avoid surprises, and careful surface preparation supports even color development.

Yes. PMS 4505 U is commonly used as a visual color target for prototypes and concept models where brand alignment matters. The Pantone PMS code defines the intended color appearance, not a specific paint formula or finish. For prototype workflows, plan to evaluate the color on the actual substrate and under the lighting where it will be reviewed, since material and lighting can shift perception.
For higher confidence before approval, many teams order a small sample or test panel in PMS 4505 U to confirm appearance before producing multiple parts.
Successful results with a PMS 4505 U paint match start with clean, sound surfaces. Remove dust, oils, and residues using an appropriate cleaner or degreaser. On glossy or slick substrates, light scuffing can improve adhesion when appropriate.
Always test the paint on a small area or sample piece first. This helps confirm adhesion, coverage, and visual appearance before committing to a full application.
Finish and sheen can noticeably change how PMS 4505 U is perceived. Glossier finishes tend to appear darker and more saturated, while matte finishes can look lighter or softer. Satin or semi-gloss finishes often balance color depth and reflectivity.
Because PMS colors are visual standards, it is best to evaluate PMS 4505 U in the exact finish and lighting conditions planned for the final display or prototype.
PMS 4505 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications. Common options include spray paint, paint pens, and brush-in-cap bottles, depending on the level of control and scale needed.
Choose the format based on how the color will be applied, the size of the parts, and the level of finish control required for your project.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 4505 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
