PMS 441 U is a Pantone PMS color commonly specified as a soft blue-gray with a restrained, professional character. It conveys a quiet, neutral, cool, airy, and understated vibe suitable for brand environments that require subtlety rather than saturation.
The color appears light, with an LRV of 64.08, and reads as cool with a clear blue-gray temperature. It has low saturation, resulting in a muted appearance, and carries a subtle blue undertone that remains neutral rather than vivid.
PMS 441 U works well in brand-facing displays, architectural elements, and marketing environments where a light neutral is needed to support graphics or typography without competing for attention. Because of its light value, careful surface preparation and uniform priming can help achieve consistent results, and lighting or sheen changes may influence its perceived coolness.
Similar colors: PMS 442 U: slightly darker and more neutral, with reduced blue presence.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 441 U color in spray paint and other paints.

Pantone PMS 441 U defines a visual color target, not a paint formula or a finish specification. It does not control sheen, film build, substrate, or application method. Because of that, using PMS 441 U to touch up an existing coating often results in visible differences, even when the color match is close.
If you are trying to blend into an existing painted surface, the original coating specification or a physical sample of that finish is a more reliable reference than a Pantone PMS code.
When matching PMS 441 U on metal or over an existing powder coat, surface preparation and the current coating matter. Scuffing, cleaning, and the condition of the underlying finish can change how the color appears.
Gloss level and base color of the substrate can shift the perceived lightness or saturation of PMS 441 U. For brand-facing components, it is recommended to evaluate a sprayed sample on the actual material before committing to full production.
Yes. The full Pantone code, including the suffix in PMS 441 U, identifies the intended reference standard. Different Pantone series or suffixes can represent different printed standards, which can affect the visual target.
Before ordering, confirm that PMS 441 U is the exact code specified in your brand guidelines or project documentation. This helps avoid mismatches caused by using a similar but different Pantone reference.
The choice between matte and gloss affects how PMS 441 U is perceived. Gloss finishes tend to look deeper and more saturated, while matte finishes reduce glare but can appear slightly flatter or lighter.
Viewing distance, lighting, and how the color is used in a brand application all influence which finish is more appropriate. If visual accuracy is critical, reviewing samples of PMS 441 U in both finishes under expected lighting conditions is the safest way to decide.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 441 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
