Pantone™ PMS 364 U

PMS 364 U is a Pantone PMS reference, which means it defines a visual color target rather than a paint formula. For prototypes and concept models, it works best when the goal is brand-aligned color appearance rather than material-specific matching.

Order a Pantone matched paint format that fits your prototype method, apply it to the actual substrate, and evaluate the color under the lighting where the model will be reviewed. If approval is critical, plan to make and review a sample before producing multiple parts, since finish and material can change how PMS 364 U is perceived.

When applying PMS 364 U as a Pantone matched spray paint, use multiple light coats rather than one heavy coat. This helps build color evenly and reduces the risk of runs or uneven appearance.

Allow each coat to flash off before applying the next one. Exact timing depends on the product and conditions, so follow the product instructions and observe the surface. Highly saturated Pantone colors like PMS 364 U may need additional coats to achieve uniform hide.

PMS 364 U describes the color target only. Safety, VOC content, and handling requirements depend on the specific paint product and format you choose.

PMS 364 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications. Common options include spray paint, paint pens, and brush-in-cap bottles, with other coatings offered where appropriate.

Choose the format based on how you will apply the color, the size of the area, and the level of control needed. The Pantone PMS reference stays the same, but appearance can vary by product type, finish, and substrate, so consider testing the chosen format before final production.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
