PMS 237 U is a Pantone PMS color used in brand and marketing contexts that call for a vivid, expressive magenta-pink. It conveys an energetic, modern, and assertive visual tone with strong chromatic impact.
The color has a medium-light appearance with an LRV of 39.36 and reads as warm-leaning due to its red-forward magenta hue. It is highly saturated, with a subtle bluish-magenta undertone that prevents it from appearing purely red.
PMS 237 U is best suited for applications where high visual impact is intentional, such as brand displays or experiential installations. Because of its saturation, careful surface preparation and, in some cases, additional coats can help achieve even coverage, and finish and lighting choices will noticeably affect how intense the color appears.

Ordering a Pantone PMS 237 U paint match means you are purchasing paint mixed to visually match the Pantone PMS 237 U color standard. Pantone PMS is a standardized visual reference used to communicate color consistently across vendors and materials.
It is not a paint formula, coating system, or finish specification. The match targets how PMS 237 U looks under standard viewing conditions, not how it was printed, manufactured, or applied in another product. Finish, sheen, substrate, and lighting can all change how the color appears once applied.
Plastics and other low-surface-energy materials vary widely, and a Pantone PMS 237 U color match does not guarantee adhesion by itself. Many plastics require specific surface preparation or a compatible primer to achieve proper bonding.
Before production, test the PMS 237 U matched paint on the exact plastic you plan to use. This helps confirm adhesion, appearance, and durability. Skipping this step can lead to peeling, poor coverage, or unexpected color appearance.
Pantone PMS colors like PMS 237 U are licensed color standards. Licensed reproduction means the color is matched using authorized Pantone reference data rather than an estimated or unofficial source.
This matters when brand accuracy is important. Using licensed Pantone reproduction reduces the risk of visible color deviation when PMS 237 U is reviewed against official Pantone standards in approvals, brand audits, or side-by-side comparisons.
Pantone PMS 237 U can be ordered in formats such as custom spray paint, paint pens, and brush-in-cap bottles, depending on your application needs. Spray paint is typically chosen for larger surfaces and uniform coverage, while pens or brush bottles are useful for controlled application on smaller components.
Choose the format based on surface size, application method, and required coverage. For saturated colors like PMS 237 U, plan for test applications to confirm hide, number of coats, and appearance under your actual lighting conditions.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 237 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 237 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
