Pantone™ PMS 1775 U

Pantone PMS 1775 U is a standardized Pantone color target used to communicate an exact visual color. When you order paint matched to PMS 1775 U, you are buying a coating mixed to visually align with that Pantone reference, not a Pantone-approved paint formula or a specific finish.

The Pantone code defines the color appearance only. It does not define sheen, texture, substrate behavior, or how the color will look under every lighting condition. Final appearance will depend on the paint type, sheen, application method, and viewing environment.

For PMS 1775 U approvals, compare samples under consistent lighting and on the same or very similar substrates. Differences in light temperature, surface texture, or material can noticeably change how this saturated color appears.

Always allow the paint to fully dry and cure before making a final judgment. Wet paint can look darker or more saturated than the final cured color. For critical brand approvals, reviewing a physical sample in the actual installation lighting is recommended.

PMS 1775 U is a vivid Pantone color, and highly saturated colors can have lower hide than neutral tones. This means you may need additional coats to achieve even, uniform coverage.

Using an appropriate undercoat or primer can help improve consistency and reduce the number of finish coats needed. Planning for test panels and extra material is a practical step, especially for large or high-visibility brand applications.

Start by selecting the paint format that fits your project, such as spray paint or another available paint type. Then choose the sheen, quantity, and any applicable options based on how and where the color will be used.

Because finish and application affect appearance, confirm these choices before ordering. If the project involves formal brand approval or large installations, ordering a sample first can help confirm the PMS 1775 U match before committing to full quantities.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
