PMS 1625 U is a Pantone PMS color commonly specified for branded environments, displays, and visual elements that require a recognizable warm accent. It conveys a friendly, energetic, and contemporary vibe with a balance of softness and saturation that avoids harshness.
The color appears mid-light with an LRV of 49.9 and reads distinctly warm with an orange-forward tendency. It shows moderate-to-high saturation and carries a soft coral undertone that tempers the overall warmth.
This color works well in brand experiences, signage, and display components where warmth and approachability are important. It may benefit from a light or white primer to support even coverage, and finish and lighting choices can noticeably influence perceived brightness.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

PMS 1625 U is a Pantone PMS reference, which defines a color target but not the lighting it is viewed under. Different light sources such as daylight, LED, or fluorescent can shift how the color appears, including warmth and saturation.
For brand-critical uses, evaluate PMS 1625 U under the same lighting where the painted item will be installed. This helps avoid surprises caused by metamerism, where a color match looks correct in one light but changes in another.
The Pantone PMS 1625 U code defines the color only. For interior applications, choose a paint type intended for indoor environments and the substrate you are coating. For exterior applications, select a paint formulated for outdoor exposure, including UV and weather resistance.
The color target remains PMS 1625 U, but performance requirements differ by environment. Selecting the correct paint type helps maintain appearance and durability without changing the intended brand color.
PMS 1625 U is a visual color standard, not a specification for sheen, film build, or substrate. Existing coatings age, fade, and vary by finish, which means a Pantone-based match will not reliably blend into an existing surface.
Pantone PMS colors are best used when the Pantone reference itself is the target, such as new brand-facing components, rather than trying to match or patch an existing coating.
A standard PMS 1625 U match is appropriate when the Pantone color is the approved brand reference. Common cases include signage, displays, exhibits, prototypes, and marketing installations where visual alignment to the Pantone standard matters most.
If the project is large, highly visible, or requires formal brand approval, reviewing a physical sample under actual lighting is recommended before full production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 1625 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 1625 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
