PMS 7715 C from the Pantone PMS System is characterized by its strong teal-blue character and saturated presence, positioning it as both assertive and modern. The color communicates a clean and technical vibe while remaining bold and impactful, with an understated complexity that lends itself to professional environments and visual brand elements.

PMS 7715 C presents as a dark, deeply saturated teal blue. The color has a low light reflectance value (LRV 9.75), resulting in a distinctly deep appearance. PMS 7715 C exhibits a cool overall tendency, leaning more toward blue than green. The color maintains a high to moderate level of saturation, creating vividness without appearing luminous or fluorescent. PMS 7715 C contains subtle blue-grey undertones that reinforce its cool, muted quality. The appearance and perceived intensity of PMS 7715 C is notably sensitive to the chosen finish, with higher gloss finishes intensifying color depth and chromaticity.

PMS 7715 C is suitable for applications where a strong, contemporary color statement is needed, especially in branded displays, retail environments, and corporate settings requiring color consistency with Pantone specifications. The deep and saturated nature of the color means it may require additional coats for uniform coverage, especially over light or contrasting base surfaces. Movement between matte and glossy finishes will create perceptible differences in vibrancy and apparent depth. As with similar dark, saturated hues, assess PMS 7715 C in target lighting conditions before final specification, and confirm visual alignment using both Pantone references and real paint samples.

Similar colors:
PMS 7716 C: Slightly darker and more muted; shifts further toward blue and can read as more subdued.

PMS 7714 C: Lighter and less saturated, presenting a softer, less assertive teal effect.

PMS 320 C: Brighter, lighter, and noticeably greener, providing a more vivid visual impact than PMS 7715 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7715 C

How can lighting affect how PMS 7715 C appears after it is applied?

The appearance of PMS 7715 C can vary substantially depending on the type of lighting in the environment. Different light sources, such as daylight, LED, or fluorescent lighting, can cause shifts in the perceived color, especially for deep, saturated hues like PMS 7715 C. To ensure the color aligns with brand standards, always evaluate painted samples of PMS 7715 C in the actual lighting conditions where the color will be displayed. This helps avoid unexpected visual shifts and supports a brand-consistent result.

What is the typical production lead time for paint matched to PMS 7715 C?

Paint matched to PMS 7715 C is made to order, not taken from pre-mixed stock. The lead time depends on the product format and current production volume. Most orders ship in a few business days, but large quantities or specialty finishes for PMS 7715 C may extend the timeline. Check current availability and plan ahead, particularly when using PMS 7715 C for time-sensitive brand or display projects.

What should I consider when applying PMS 7715 C paint to plastic or low-energy surfaces?

When using PMS 7715 C on plastic or low-surface-energy materials, surface preparation and adhesion are critical. Not all plastics allow paint to adhere well without a suitable primer or specific adhesion promoter. Always test PMS 7715 C on the actual plastic substrate before full production, as results can vary with the type of plastic and its finish. Following best practices supports color consistency and long-term durability.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7715 C?

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7715 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
