PMS 7675 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) standard color in the Pantone PMS collection. It is recognized for its controlled, muted purple character that reads as sophisticated, technical, and reserved. With a qualitative tendency toward coolness and an understated mid-level saturation, this color is often perceived as stable, professional, and modern.

PMS 7675 C has a medium-dark appearance, with a numeric LRV of 22.4. The color leans cool, carrying notable violet-blue undertones. It exhibits moderate chroma, producing a color that is visibly purple without being highly saturated or vivid. The undertone is cool, with a slight blue cast. The color’s muted nature increases sensitivity to gloss and finish; glossier finishes may make the color appear deeper and more saturated, while matte finishes further subdue it.

PMS 7675 C works well in contexts where a clear, professional purple is needed but a highly saturated or playful impression is not desired. It is appropriate for institutional, educational, or technology-focused branding where color distinctiveness must be balanced with restraint. The color can shift in perceived richness depending on the finish and the lighting—under some artificial lighting, blue undertones may become more prominent. Careful evaluation of physical samples is recommended, especially for projects where the purple’s undertone needs to support broader brand color harmonies. Compared to similar purples, PMS 7675 C tends to provide a more neutral and subdued appearance without veering into grayed-out or pastel territory.

Similar colors:
PMS 7677 C: Slightly lighter and more chromatic, creating a bolder and cleaner purple appearance.

PMS 667 C: Deeper and cooler, with a stronger blue influence and darker presence.

PMS 7672 C: More muted and grayer, providing a softer and less saturated effect overall.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7675 C

How is PMS 7675 C used to maintain consistent brand experiences?

PMS 7675 C is part of the Pantone Matching System, which serves as a universal color reference to help brands reproduce the same purple shade across marketing, displays, and environments. Using the exact code ensures that signage, exhibit elements, and prototype models all align visually, even when produced by different vendors or on various materials. This consistency supports clear brand recognition and professional appearance in customer-facing settings.

Why should I order PMS 7675 C paint carefully?

PMS 7675 C paint is made to order to match the Pantone standard, so it cannot be restocked or easily changed once produced. Carefully select the product type and finish that will work for your project, and sample when possible. This is especially important because finish and substrate can affect how the color appears. Planning ahead helps ensure your brand color goals are met without unexpected delays or mismatches.

Does the code suffix in PMS 7675 C matter when ordering?

Yes, the suffix in PMS 7675 C indicates a specific version of the color as defined by Pantone. Brand standards documents or specifications may require a particular suffix such as C, U, or M. Always confirm the exact Pantone code required for your application before ordering to help achieve your intended color match.

Do I need a primer when using PMS 7675 C paint?

Primer needs depend on the type of PMS 7675 C paint you select, the surface you are coating, and the conditions the finished item will face. Porous, bare, or glossy substrates and projects with demanding wear or exposure often require a primer for best adhesion and color consistency. Refer to specific product guidance or substrate recommendations to decide if a primer is needed for your application.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7675 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7675 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7675 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
