PMS 7671 C, part of the Pantone PMS system, is a deep, saturated purple with a cool bias and a dark appearance. The color conveys a composed, technical, and assertive vibe, suited for applications where brand distinctiveness and clarity are required. The Pantone PMS collection is widely used across brand identity, signage, and marketing environments to ensure precise color consistency.
PMS 7671 C appears distinctly dark due to its low light reflectance value (LRV 7.94). The color has a cool undertone, leaning toward a blue-purple hue. PMS 7671 C possesses high chroma, which contributes to its vivid yet muted perception. The undertone is subtly blue, giving the color a sense of depth without overt warmth. This color can be finish-sensitive, with gloss finishes intensifying its chroma and enhancing depth, while matte finishes may subdue its richness.
PMS 7671 C performs well in controlled branding environments where deep, memorable purple is required but overt vibrancy is not desired. Its low LRV means it absorbs light, appearing especially dark in low-illumination settings; evaluate lighting carefully to ensure the intended color impression. When compared to similar deep purples, PMS 7671 C is typically cooler and more restrained, avoiding the warmth or brightness some alternatives may exhibit. Coverage can be challenging on lighter substrates due to the color’s saturation and darkness, so adequate priming and multiple coats may be necessary. Always assess under intended lighting and finish before finalizing application.

Pantone PMS 7671 C is a deep, saturated purple with a low light reflectance value, which can make coverage more challenging, especially over lighter substrates. Due to its intensity and darkness, you may need to use a primer and expect multiple coats to achieve even color and uniform appearance. Testing on your specific substrate before full application is recommended to confirm results and plan for the correct material usage.
Before proceeding with large or high-visibility installations in PMS 7671 C, order a small sample in the same finish and substrate as your final project. Evaluate the sample under your actual lighting conditions, since lighting can strongly affect how PMS 7671 C appears. This approach allows stakeholders to approve or request adjustments before committing to production, minimizing risk and helping ensure brand consistency.
Yes, changing the sheen can alter the perception of PMS 7671 C even when the color target remains the same. Gloss finishes will intensify the color depth and vibrancy, while matte finishes can make the color appear more muted and subdued. For best results and consistent brand presentation, choose the finish that matches your standards and review physical samples before finalizing your order.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
