To ensure you are referencing the correct color, always confirm the exact Pantone code, including any suffixes like 'C', 'U', or 'M', from your brand standards or specification documents. For example, PMS 7662 C refers to the coated (C) version, which may appear different than the uncoated or matte versions. Using the wrong suffix could yield a color that does not meet brand or project requirements.

Ordering a standard Pantone PMS 7662 C match is suitable for marketing, display, signage, and exhibit projects where the goal is to achieve consistent visual alignment with the Pantone reference. If you are producing brand-facing displays, prototypes, or components where PMS 7662 C is specified as the target color, a standard match is typically the best path. Confirm with stakeholders that the Pantone PMS color code is your intended reference before placing an order.

Pantone PMS 7662 C is often specified for signage, display, and exhibits because it provides a consistent brand color reference across different vendors and materials. Using a Pantone PMS code ensures all components match visually, which is important for brand consistency. If exact appearance is critical, sample the color on actual production materials under project lighting to confirm it meets expectations before full production.

If you need to match an existing item for touch-up or localized correction, ordering standard Pantone PMS 7662 C may not produce the closest result. Brand specifications use Pantone as a color target for new production, but for matching an existing material, sending a physical part for a custom color match is the best way to achieve a blend. Relying solely on the Pantone code risks visible differences due to finish, substrate, age, and production variation.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
