Pantone® PMS 7637 C is a Pantone Matching System color, widely referenced in branding and specification contexts for its rich, saturated appearance. This color is best described as deep, assertive, and warm, with a technical and substantial vibe that makes it suitable for impactful visual identity elements. Its notably low light reflectance value (LRV 8.5) contributes to its strong visual weight, while the pronounced warm undertone and saturation keep the color vivid and distinctive in both natural and artificial lighting.
PMS 7637 C presents as a dark color, supported by an LRV of 8.5, meaning it absorbs most incident light. The color has a distinctly warm tendency, leaning toward a red base with subtle orange influence. PMS 7637 C exhibits high saturation, contributing to its vivid and bold character in context. The undertone is strongly warm, making the color visually prominent on both neutral and colored backgrounds. This color is sensitive to finish; gloss or satin finishes will enhance its depth and saturation, while matte finishes will appear slightly muted.
PMS 7637 C functions effectively in branding, display, and marketing environments where a saturated, bold red is specified. Its darkness and high chroma demand controlled lighting and thoughtful selection of gloss level; high-gloss or satin sheens will intensify the color’s vibrancy, while matte may reduce its visual impact. When matching across various substrates, note that PMS 7637 C can shift subtly depending on adjacent colors and surface textures; use a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in intended conditions to confirm satisfaction. Coverage may require additional coats due to pigment saturation, and the underlying surface color can influence the finished appearance.

Pantone PMS 7637 C is best specified by its exact code, including all suffixes like the letter 'C' which indicates a specific series. When ordering paint to match this color, always use the full code 'PMS 7637 C' to ensure you get the intended color standard. Relying on just a partial name or number can result in the wrong color, as similar names may refer to entirely different hues. For precise brand consistency, confirm the code matches your specification and double-check any design or print standards before purchase.

Pantone PMS 7637 C can appear different depending on the surface it is applied to. Surface texture, absorption, and reflectivity all affect the final appearance. For example, glossy or satin finishes will intensify the color's depth and warmth, while matte finishes appear more muted. Colors may also shift subtly between materials such as metal, plastic, or fabric because of how each one interacts with light and absorbs pigment. To ensure satisfaction, evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference next to a real paint sample on your actual material and under the intended lighting.
Pantone PMS 7637 C paint is formulated for new brand-facing work and displays where visual brand alignment is the primary goal. If your objective is touch-up or spot repair to existing parts, Pantone codes alone are not enough to ensure a seamless result. For touch-up-grade color accuracy, it is necessary to send a physical part for custom color matching to account for real-world surface aging and finish. Pantone matching is intended for consistent brand color reproduction across new projects, not for repair of existing coatings.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7637 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
