PMS 7621 C is a strong, saturated red with a distinctly warm character, moderate darkness, and notable visual presence. Often chosen for marketing environments, signage, and branded displays, it projects a direct, assertive impression and is recognized for consistency within print and painted executions.

PMS 7621 C appears dark, with a low light reflectance value (LRV 10.02), making it a deep red that absorbs significant light. The color has a warm tendency, leaning more towards orange than a purple-based red. PMS 7621 C shows high saturation, resulting in vivid, bold coloration. The undertone is warm and energetic, which can intensify under warmer lighting. The color’s depth and richness can be affected by finish; higher gloss finishes will amplify saturation and may increase perceived brightness.

PMS 7621 C is frequently used for brand-standard paint applications in corporate environments where a deep, vivid red is required. The color is often specified for signage, exhibit components, and retail activations seeking a visually assertive red. PMS 7621 C is widely referenced in the production of prototypes and display materials that demand accurate Pantone color representation.

PMS 7621 C works well where a strong, consistent red is essential to brand presence or visual hierarchy. Surface preparation is important, as highly saturated reds can require additional coats for uniform coverage, especially over light or uneven substrates. Lighting conditions and finish selection will affect perception: warm lighting and gloss finishes intensify the color, while matte finishes and cool lighting may reduce vibrancy. Compared to other reds in the PMS collection, PMS 7621 C maintains strong chromaticity without appearing overly orange or too dark, balancing impactful presence and readability.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7621 C

Why is Pantone PMS 7621 C not reliably convertible to other paint brands or color collections?

Pantone PMS 7621 C is a standardized color defined by Pantone for consistent visual referencing across materials. Most paint brands develop their own unique palettes and do not include exact matches for vivid Pantone hues like PMS 7621 C. Cross-referencing between Pantone and other brand collections is rarely exact, especially for strong, saturated reds. Ordering by PMS 7621 C ensures you are targeting the intended brand color rather than a loose approximation from another system.

How should I choose the right sheen or finish for Pantone PMS 7621 C brand applications?

The sheen you select for PMS 7621 C will influence color perception. Gloss and semi-gloss finishes will make the red appear more vibrant and can increase its apparent brightness, while matte finishes may mute the color. Consider the substrate and typical viewing conditions: high-gloss enhances impact for large displays or branding, while lower sheen can reduce reflections for close viewing or signage in strong lighting. Always evaluate a sample in the actual finish and lighting before finalizing specification, as finish can affect how PMS 7621 C matches the Pantone standard.

What does it mean to order Pantone PMS 7621 C as a paint product?

When you order paint matched to Pantone PMS 7621 C, you are requesting that the paint color visually align with the Pantone PMS standard under target lighting and finish conditions. PMS 7621 C is a defined color target, not a formula or a specific product. Different substrates, finishes, and lighting can influence how the match appears, so confirm final acceptance against a Pantone reference and a painted sample. Ordering PMS 7621 C does not guarantee an identical result across all materials or finishes.

Where can I find the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint made in Pantone PMS 7621 C?

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for PMS 7621 C paint depends on the specific product type you choose, such as spray paint, epoxy, or house paint. The SDS is tied to the paint's formulation and not the Pantone color code. To obtain the correct SDS, refer to the product's information or the SDS library for your selected paint format and base.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7621 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7621 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7621 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
