PMS 7611 C paint is formulated to visually match the Pantone book reference, but some variation is normal due to differences in finish, material, and application. Pantone books use printed ink on coated paper, while painted finishes can appear different depending on gloss, surface texture, and lighting. For the most accurate assessment, compare a painted sample of PMS 7611 C on your actual project substrate to the swatch in a current Pantone book, viewing under the lighting conditions of your intended display.

One standard spray can of PMS 7611 C paint covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat under ideal conditions. Coverage can be affected by the color's hide, application technique, surface texture, and number of coats required for full opacity. Brighter or more chromatic Pantone colors may need additional coats. For best results and to avoid running short, estimate your total square footage and add extra for testing and any complex surfaces.

PMS 7611 C can appear different depending on the substrate because each material absorbs and reflects paint differently. Factors like texture, porosity, and the underlying color influence how the painted PMS 7611 C is perceived. Finishes such as gloss or matte will also affect the warmth and depth of the color. Before finalizing specifications, test PMS 7611 C on a sample of the actual material used in your build and review it under the lighting the final project will use.

No, a standard PMS 7611 C paint match is intended for branding and display purposes where consistent visual brand color is the goal. For critical small-area touch-up or part-specific matching, sending a physical sample of the item for a direct match is the best path. This ensures the paint is formulated to visually align with the existing material and finish, which cannot be guaranteed by specifying only the Pantone code.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
