PMS 7611 C is specified in the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection and is widely recognized in professional environments for marketing, industrial design, and branded displays. This color projects a grounded, earthy, and refined vibe, appearing clean and stable with a touch of natural warmth. Its visual qualities make it practical for roles that demand both visibility and subtle sophistication.

- PMS 7611 C registers as a medium-light color; its LRV of 54.48 supports moderate reflectance. - The color exhibits a warm tendency influenced by a muted orange-brown hue. - PMS 7611 C presents moderate chroma, avoiding extremes of vibrancy or neutrality. - Undertones lean toward subdued terracotta, giving the color a refined, reliable quality. - The appearance of PMS 7611 C may subtly shift with variations in finish, with glossier finishes enhancing its warmth and depth.

PMS 7611 C works well in environments and products where a warm, earthy tone is needed to communicate approachability, stability, or natural alignment. It holds up to scrutiny in both branded displays and product prototypes, as its moderate chroma and lightness offer notable consistency across typical lighting conditions. When specifying this color, pay close attention to sheen: higher gloss brings out its warmth and can increase perceived depth, while matte surfaces mute these effects. It differentiates from similar hues by balancing warmth with subtlety—neither overpowering nor fading into the background.

Similar colors:
PMS 7592 C: Similar but darker and deeper, bringing more weight and visual gravity.

PMS 471 C: Similar warmth, but slightly more saturated and pronounced orange, resulting in more visual intensity.

PMS 7572 C: Shares the earthy orange quality, but reads as a touch more neutral and muted, appearing less vibrant.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7611 C

How closely will PMS 7611 C paint match my Pantone book reference?

PMS 7611 C paint is formulated to visually match the Pantone book reference, but some variation is normal due to differences in finish, material, and application. Pantone books use printed ink on coated paper, while painted finishes can appear different depending on gloss, surface texture, and lighting. For the most accurate assessment, compare a painted sample of PMS 7611 C on your actual project substrate to the swatch in a current Pantone book, viewing under the lighting conditions of your intended display.

How much area does one spray can of PMS 7611 C typically cover?

One standard spray can of PMS 7611 C paint covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat under ideal conditions. Coverage can be affected by the color's hide, application technique, surface texture, and number of coats required for full opacity. Brighter or more chromatic Pantone colors may need additional coats. For best results and to avoid running short, estimate your total square footage and add extra for testing and any complex surfaces.

Why does PMS 7611 C look different when applied to metal, plastic, or wood?

PMS 7611 C can appear different depending on the substrate because each material absorbs and reflects paint differently. Factors like texture, porosity, and the underlying color influence how the painted PMS 7611 C is perceived. Finishes such as gloss or matte will also affect the warmth and depth of the color. Before finalizing specifications, test PMS 7611 C on a sample of the actual material used in your build and review it under the lighting the final project will use.

Is a standard PMS 7611 C paint match suitable for small-area touch-up work?

No, a standard PMS 7611 C paint match is intended for branding and display purposes where consistent visual brand color is the goal. For critical small-area touch-up or part-specific matching, sending a physical sample of the item for a direct match is the best path. This ensures the paint is formulated to visually align with the existing material and finish, which cannot be guaranteed by specifying only the Pantone code.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7611 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7611 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7611 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7611 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
