PMS 7596 C is part of the Pantone Matching System, recognized for its role in branding and identity applications. This color has a distinctly earthy and grounded appearance, with a muted vibe that is both understated and technical. It delivers a sense of maturity and warmth, making it practical for marketing environments where a strong yet reserved visual statement is needed.
PMS 7596 C appears quite dark in standard viewing conditions due to its low LRV of 5.83. The color has a warm tendency, with a muted red-brown base. It presents medium saturation; the hue is pronounced but toned down compared to vivid reds or oranges. An evident brown undertone is visible, softening any intensity and giving the color an organic feel. The finish may subtly influence the perceived richness; matte surfaces emphasize its earthy quality, while gloss finishes can make it appear marginally deeper.
PMS 7596 C works well where a restrained, earthy statement is desired for branded environments, retail displays, or product mockups. Due to its darkness, test the color in the intended lighting—cool or low lighting can cause it to appear almost black, while direct warm lighting enhances its red-brown aspect. Uniform surface priming is important for coverage, as this muted color may require additional coats to achieve true opacity compared to lighter hues. It is less likely to show fingerprints or surface imperfections than brighter or glossier colors.

PMS 1817 C — Comparable depth but leans even further into neutral brown, with less red undertone.
PMS 490 C — Darker overall and noticeably cooler, lacking the earthy red character of PMS 7596 C.

No, PMS 7596 C can appear noticeably different depending on the finish. Matte and gloss versions of the same Pantone color will reflect light and show saturation differently. A matte PMS 7596 C may look more earthy and subdued, while a gloss version can seem darker and richer. Always compare samples with the same finish you plan to use for your project to get an accurate sense of the final appearance.
Pantone PMS 7596 C is intended for brand color reproduction and is not a substitute for touch-up matching to an existing finish. If you need touch-up-grade accuracy on a pre-coated item, you should send a physical piece of the part to have it matched. Using a Pantone formula alone is not recommended for achieving an exact match on repairs or existing finishes.
PMS 7596 C can appear different depending on the material or substrate. Differences in absorption, surface texture, and reflectivity can impact how the color is seen. For accurate brand results, always evaluate PMS 7596 C samples on the same materials and under the same lighting conditions intended for the final use.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7596 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
