Pantone™ PMS 7584 C

PMS 7584 C is a standard Pantone reference intended to specify a color target, not an exact match to an existing coating's finish, sheen, or substrate condition. Using PMS 7584 C for touch-up is not recommended because the Pantone standard does not define how the color will look on your specific substrate or with your original finish. Variations in gloss, texture, and application method can result in noticeable differences even if the same color code is used. For existing finished goods, it is more reliable to match a physical sample or reference a sample produced on your actual substrate and finish.

PMS 7584 C is a mid-to-dark, earthy red-orange with moderate to high saturation, which means it may require multiple coats for full coverage, especially over light or high-contrast substrates. Using a tinted undercoat that is close in tone to PMS 7584 C can help improve uniformity and reduce the number of coats needed. Planning for two or more coats is a practical approach, particularly for brand-critical applications, to ensure an even and consistent result.

PMS 7584 C defines a target color, but the final appearance can vary depending on the substrate or material used. Factors such as absorption, surface texture, and reflectivity affect how the color is perceived. For example, the color may appear deeper or richer on smooth, glossy surfaces and more muted on porous or matte materials. To achieve brand consistency, always evaluate PMS 7584 C samples on the actual material and finish planned for your project before full production.

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint in PMS 7584 C is specific to the product type, such as spray paint, brush-in-cap bottle, or another format, not the color code itself. To find the SDS, select the desired paint product first, then access the SDS library or datasheet section for that product. Referencing the correct product ensures you receive safety and handling information relevant to your chosen paint format.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
