Pantone™ PMS 7591 C

Pantone PMS 7591 C is intended as a target for brand and display consistency, not for matching prior finishes. The Pantone standard does not define differences in sheen, substrate, or application process. Because of this, using PMS 7591 C as a touch-up reference on an existing finish may lead to noticeable mismatches in color or appearance. For reliable results, new paint should align with the intended brand application rather than try to blend into unknown or aged surfaces.

Authorization from Pantone ensures that MyPerfectColor follows correct processes and uses proper reference specifications. This helps you achieve brand-consistent results and reduces the risk of off-standard color reproduction on your branded or marketing projects.

The need for a primer with PMS 7591 C matched paint depends on your substrate, chosen paint type, and job conditions. Primer is usually recommended when switching between materials, painting over bare surfaces, or when better adhesion and hide are needed. It is especially important for maximizing brand color consistency and durability. Always review surface requirements and consult available primer guidance if you are unsure before applying PMS 7591 C to your project.

Cans of PMS 7591 C spray paint generally cover about 20 to 25 square feet per can with a typical application. Coverage can vary with surface texture, color intensity, and the number of coats required for even appearance. For accurate estimating, consider surface color, texture, and brand visibility requirements, and plan extra paint for highly saturated or textured surfaces.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7591 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
