PMS 2421 C is a standardized color within the Pantone PMS collection, widely used for brand identity and specification purposes. This color presents a vivid, lively vibe with a strong chromatic presence, and a modern, energetic, and attention-getting character. With a lightness level that situates it in the mid-range, PMS 2421 C is neither too dark nor overly pale, making it operationally versatile for signage, displays, and marketing installations where visual impact and color accuracy are required.

PMS 2421 C has a lightness that is moderate, with a numerical LRV of 34.52.

The color displays a cool tendency, with a distinct green hue leaning slightly toward the blue side.

PMS 2421 C is highly saturated and visually striking.

This color contains minimal gray or muted elements, giving it a clean appearance.

PMS 2421 C’s vivid undertone may shift depending on finish and lighting, making evaluation of physical samples important.

PMS 2421 C is often specified in brand-centric exhibit elements, marketing materials, or display systems requiring consistent green hues aligned to the Pantone standard.

This color is selected in environments requiring strong, contemporary green branding with clear visual separation from deeper or neutral greens.

PMS 2421 C works well in brand and marketing environments demanding a bold, recognizable green that stands out without appearing fluorescent. Color appearance may vary in different lighting or with different sheens; always review a painted sample under the actual intended conditions. This green maintains chromatic strength relative to similar colors but may reveal increased sensitivity to finish selection, especially in high-gloss or matte applications.

  • PMS 347 C: Offers a similar vibrancy but is a touch darker and less vivid.
  • PMS 354 C: Slightly warmer and more yellowish compared to the blue-leaning coolness of PMS 2421 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2421 C

What are best practices for comparing Pantone PMS 2421 C samples during formal color approval?

When comparing Pantone PMS 2421 C for approval, always evaluate samples under consistent lighting that matches your installation or display environment. Use the same substrate and finish whenever possible, since these factors can significantly affect the appearance of PMS 2421 C. Ensure coatings are fully dry and cured before making a final decision, as color appearance often shifts during drying. Comparing uncured or wet samples can lead to incorrect judgments about brand alignment or acceptance.

How should I apply Pantone PMS 2421 C spray paint for best results on brand displays?

For Pantone PMS 2421 C, apply multiple light coats instead of one thick coat. Allow each layer to dry for an appropriate interval before applying the next coat, as recommended by your paint format and environmental conditions. This helps achieve a smooth, even appearance and reduces the risk of runs or uneven color, which is especially important for visually critical brand-facing surfaces.

What should I plan for when using PMS 2421 C in a retail pop-up or brand experience environment?

When using PMS 2421 C for pop-ups or retail installations, confirm durability requirements and test color samples on the intended substrate before commitment. Evaluate painted samples under actual installation lighting, as PMS 2421 C''s appearance can shift with both lighting and sheen. Sampling first helps ensure brand consistency and reduces surprises in high-visibility retail or event projects.

Will PMS 2421 C require a special undercoat or additional coats for proper brand coverage?

PMS 2421 C is a vivid and saturated green that may show lower hide than less intense colors. For best results, consider applying a suitable undercoat, such as a white or primed base, to support uniform coverage and color accuracy. Plan for multiple coats to achieve full opacity, especially on non-white surfaces or where high brand consistency is needed.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2421 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2421 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2421 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 2421 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2421 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
