Pantone™ PMS 355 C

The appearance of PMS 355 C can change noticeably based on surface texture. In contrast, matte or textured surfaces reflect less light and can cause PMS 355 C to look slightly darker and less intense. When visual brand consistency is critical, it is best to evaluate the finish on a sample to confirm the final appearance of PMS 355 C matches expectations for the application.

When applying PMS 355 C paint to plastics or low-surface-energy materials, first confirm what type of plastic you are using, as not all coatings adhere well to every substrate. Some plastics may require a special primer or surface preparation to ensure proper adhesion and color performance. It is strongly recommended to test PMS 355 C paint on your actual plastic material before moving forward with full production. This helps avoid chipping, peeling, or mismatched color appearance.

Color consistency for PMS 355 C relies on maintaining the same product type, sheen, and application method across orders. Always specify PMS 355 C by code, use the same finish (such as gloss or matte), and order from the same product format. If your project requires formal brand approval, use a physical standard or approved sample as your reference point for all future runs. Even with a standard like Pantone, slight differences may occur due to finish, substrate, or lighting, so it is best to match your previous approach as closely as possible.

PMS 355 C is available in several paint formats including custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and other coatings where offered. The right choice depends on your project goals. Spray paint works best for even coverage on large display or fabrication surfaces. Paint pens or brush-in-cap bottles are suited for small components, detailed work, or prototypes. Consider the application method and substrate when selecting the format to achieve the desired brand appearance with PMS 355 C.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
