When you order paint for PMS 2363 C, you are requesting a color that visually matches the Pantone PMS 2363 C standard. This ensures the finished paint aligns with Pantone's widely used color specification for consistent brand and marketing results. However, a Pantone PMS match is not a specific paint formula or process. Factors like substrate, finish, and lighting may affect appearance. The Pantone reference is a visual target, not a guarantee of identical results across all materials or finishes.

When applying PMS 2363 C paint to plastic or other low-surface-energy materials, substrate compatibility is critical. Plastics vary in how well they accept coatings, and you may need a specialized adhesion primer or surface treatment to achieve optimal results. It is best practice to test the paint and primer system on your specific plastic before proceeding with production or installation, as adhesion and final appearance can differ widely across materials.

PMS 2363 C is frequently chosen for sign, display, and exhibit fabrication because it is a standard Pantone color used to ensure brand consistency across multiple elements and vendors. Fabricators rely on Pantone references to meet visual brand requirements for marketing and public-facing installations. For the most accurate outcome, plan to review a painted sample of PMS 2363 C on the real substrate and under installation lighting before full production, as finish and material can influence the final look.

Ordering a standard PMS 2363 C match is appropriate for projects where visual brand alignment is key, such as marketing displays, temporary exhibits, prototypes, and signage. These situations benefit from using the Pantone reference as the target color. It is less suitable for applications requiring precise touch-up or repair to a previously coated surface, or when matching multiple materials where a custom sample might be needed to confirm the exact appearance.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
