PMS 2296 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, which is widely used for brand specification, signage, and display fabrication. This color is characterized by a bold, clean, and contemporary vibe, with strong saturation and a cool undertone that communicates clarity and freshness.

PMS 2296 C appears very light and vibrant; it is one of the lighter greens in the Pantone system (with a high LRV of 72.95). The color has a distinctly cool tendency informed by its hue angle above 110°, placing it in the green to yellow-green range. PMS 2296 C is highly saturated, delivering strong chromatic impact without looking muted or gray. The color contains a pure cool green undertone, with minimal yellow or blue bias. PMS 2296 C is sensitive to finish; high-gloss or satin sheens will make it appear even more striking, while matte finishes can reduce perceived brightness and intensity.

PMS 2296 C works effectively for applications seeking strong visibility, energetic impact, or contemporary appeal—such as branded environments, promotional displays, or event activations. Care should be taken to evaluate the color under actual lighting and material conditions, as its vibrancy and undertone can shift noticeably in different environments or finishes. Compared to similar vivid greens, PMS 2296 C will appear lighter and cooler, making it well-suited where a true, clear green is required without leaning toward yellow or teal.

Similar colors:
PMS 2294 C is similar but appears slightly darker and less luminous.

PMS 2250 C is warmer and more yellow-toned, offering a more chartreuse appearance.

PMS 2286 C is cooler with a soft blue-green influence, making it more subdued in comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2296 C

How does the finish or sheen affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 2296 C in real-world applications?

The finish you choose for Pantone PMS 2296 C directly impacts how the color looks in your project. Gloss and satin finishes will make PMS 2296 C appear brighter, with a higher level of saturation and visual impact, emphasizing its contemporary and vibrant qualities. In contrast, a matte finish will tend to soften the color, reducing perceived brightness and intensity, which can diminish its visual punch. Always review PMS 2296 C under both your intended lighting and finish before finalizing your order, especially for high-visibility or brand-critical projects.

How much coverage can I expect from a spray can of PMS 2296 C, and how do I estimate how many cans I will need?

A typical can of spray paint for Pantone PMS 2296 C covers about 20 to 25 square feet with one light coat, though highly saturated colors like this may require additional coats for full, even coverage. Your actual coverage will depend on surface texture, color of the substrate, and application technique. For best results, estimate based on two light coats per area, and order additional cans if you are painting textured surfaces or need a high level of brand consistency. Testing a small area is the best way to confirm actual coverage before starting a larger project.

Why use Pantone PMS 2296 C for branding and visual experiences?

Pantone PMS 2296 C is used in branding to achieve a consistent, recognizable color across all marketing materials, displays, and environments. By specifying PMS 2296 C, brands and fabricators align on an exact visual standard, making it possible to reproduce the same vivid green regardless of vendor or material. Using the correct PMS color helps maintain brand integrity and supports a unified experience for customers and audiences.

How do I choose the right paint type for using PMS 2296 C indoors or outdoors?

When using Pantone PMS 2296 C for interior projects, standard interior paint formats generally work well and provide strong color consistency. For exterior applications, select a paint type specifically rated for outdoor use to ensure durability and resistance to weathering. This decision helps maintain the appearance and brand vibrancy of PMS 2296 C over time. Always match the paint type to your environment, as interior paints are not formulated for outdoor exposure.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2296 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2296 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2296 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2296 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
