PMS 2250 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) color collection, a standard in brand and identity specification. The color presents a modern, clean, and vivid character suited for technical, high-visibility, and design-focused applications. Its tone is distinctly cool and energetic, with a balance that avoids being overly bright or muted, lending itself to contemporary and attention-driving environments.

PMS 2250 C has a moderate lightness, with an LRV of 33.48, placing it in the mid-range of brightness.

The color tends toward the cool side of the spectrum, exhibiting a reference green hue with a blue undertone.

This color is strongly saturated, presenting high chromatic intensity.

The undertone is cool, showing subtle blue influences, avoiding yellow or earthy notes.

This color’s vividness may be sensitive to finish; higher gloss accentuates saturation, while matte or low-sheen finishes can temper the brightness and shift perceived depth.

PMS 2250 C works well in spaces or objects that require a strong, modern presence without appearing overly bright or fluorescent. It is suitable when a saturated, distinctly cool green is specified for branding, display components, marketing fixtures, or prototype elements. Evaluate this color in the intended lighting, as both artificial and natural light can modify the appearance and depth of blue undertone. The cool intensity sets it apart from warmer greens, while its moderate lightness offers more visual weight and presence than paler or muted alternatives. Always specify finish for consistent results and consider substrate preparation to ensure uniform saturation.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 2270 C – Slightly lighter and less chromatic, creating a more subdued appearance.
  • PMS 2417 C – Deeper and darker, with a moodier, less vivid impression.
  • PMS 2405 C – Warmer with a yellowish undertone, appearing more natural compared to the cool intensity of PMS 2250 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2250 C

Is Pantone PMS 2250 C associated with any specific brands or notable real-world applications?

Pantone PMS 2250 C is a distinct, vivid green commonly used in brand environments and display components where a cool, modern aesthetic is important. While not linked to any single global brand by default, it is specified in marketing installations and prototype elements that require consistent, high-impact color. If your brand standards or client guidelines call out PMS 2250 C, it can be used confidently where visual alignment to the Pantone target is the goal.

What should I consider when applying PMS 2250 C matched paint to plastics or low-energy surfaces?

Pantone PMS 2250 C can be matched in various paint types for use on plastics, but surface preparation is critical. Many plastics and low-energy materials require special primers or adhesion promoters before color coats. Always test PMS 2250 C paint on the actual substrate before full production to confirm adhesion, coverage, and final appearance. Consult with your coatings supplier for the appropriate primer and ensure that the finish meets your project''s requirements.

How does the sheen or finish affect the appearance of PMS 2250 C in brand display applications?

The sheen you select for PMS 2250 C will change its perceived brightness and saturation. Gloss and semi-gloss finishes make the color appear more vivid and intense, while matte or low-sheen finishes will gently mute the vibrancy and can reduce perceived depth. For brand and marketing applications, specify the exact sheen in advance and evaluate the color in typical lighting conditions to ensure the result matches your intent. Differences in substrate and viewing distance may also affect your ideal sheen choice.

Are there specific safety or VOC considerations when using a paint matched to Pantone PMS 2250 C?

Safety and VOC details for PMS 2250 C paint depend on the product type you select, such as spray paint, epoxy, or house paint. Always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and technical documentation for the chosen format before use. Follow safe handling, ventilation, and disposal requirements for your application setting, and use PPE as recommended by the product guidance.

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2250 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 2250 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2250 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
