PMS 2294 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, a standard reference for brand and identity applications requiring controlled color consistency across a wide range of media. The color presents a clean, energetic, and modern character, often perceived as fresh, vivid, and technical. Its visual presence aligns well with settings demanding distinctiveness and contemporary appeal.

PMS 2294 C exhibits a moderate lightness with an LRV of 32.74, giving it a mid-tone appearance neither very dark nor overly bright. The color is visually cool, tending toward a green hue with only subtle secondary undertones. PMS 2294 C shows high chroma, resulting in a saturated and vivid effect. The undertone reads as clear, slightly yellow-leaning green, but not strongly earthy or muted. This color may show perceptible differences in appearance between gloss and matte finishes, with gloss finishes increasing the sense of brightness and saturation.

PMS 2294 C is operationally useful for applications demanding high visual impact without being overpowering. It is suitable for branded elements, experiential installations, and environments where precise color communication is required. Users should be attentive to lighting conditions, as cool and artificial lighting may intensify the green quality. Gloss level can significantly affect how vibrant or subdued the color appears, and highly saturated mid-tone greens may require additional coats to achieve uniform coverage, especially over light or dark substrates. Compared to other vivid greens, PMS 2294 C balances chromatic intensity with practical manageability in production environments.

Similar colors:
PMS 2272 C: Slightly lighter and has a comparatively more yellow hue.

PMS 2288 C: Slightly darker and deeper, with increased saturation.

PMS 2413 C: Represents a more neutral green, lacking the vivid chromatic intensity of PMS 2294 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2294 C

How does the finish or sheen affect how Pantone PMS 2294 C looks in real-world applications?

The appearance of Pantone PMS 2294 C will change based on the chosen finish. Gloss finishes make PMS 2294 C appear brighter and more saturated, which can increase visual impact for brand displays. Matte finishes will reduce reflectivity and slightly mute the color, giving it a more subdued look. Satin falls between gloss and matte. When color accuracy is critical, it is important to confirm the expected finish against your brand standards, since sheen affects perceived vibrancy and can result in visible differences under various lighting conditions.

What should I consider when choosing PMS 2294 C for interior versus exterior paint applications?

When specifying PMS 2294 C for a project, select a paint type that matches the exposure conditions. For indoor uses such as displays, signage, or branded interiors, interior-grade paints are suitable and may offer a broader range of finishes. For outdoor installations, choose an exterior-grade paint to ensure better resistance to weather and sunlight. Make sure the product format (such as spray paint, paint pen, or brush-in-cap bottle) is appropriate for the application and environment. Applying highly saturated colors like PMS 2294 C may require extra coats for full coverage, especially outdoors.

What is the difference between using the Pantone PMS 2294 C name and code when ordering paint?

When ordering paint to match PMS 2294 C, always use the complete Pantone code including the suffix, in this case 'PMS 2294 C.' The code is the standard reference and ensures you will receive the intended color target. Relying only on the color name or omitting the code may result in ordering the wrong shade, as Pantone color names are not always unique and different suffixes or versions can represent distinct colors. Confirm the Pantone code matches your project specifications before placing your order.

What is the typical production lead time for paint matched to Pantone PMS 2294 C?

Paint matched to Pantone PMS 2294 C is made to order to ensure color consistency. Lead times depend on the product type (such as spray paint or brush-in-cap bottles) and current production volume. Most orders are produced in several business days, but complex or high-volume requests may take longer. Ordering early and selecting standard formats can help meet your project timelines, especially for brand experiences and marketing events with fixed schedules.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2294 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2294 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 2294 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
