PMS 2274 C (System / collection: Pantone PMS) is a light, clean, and moderately saturated green. The color’s overall vibe is balanced, fresh, contemporary, technical, and steady. Its hue aligns closely with a pure green, skewing neither especially warm nor cool, while its mid-to-high lightness makes it visually accessible in both print and painted applications.

PMS 2274 C appears light in tone (LRV 67.63), contributing to an airy presence in physical and digital environments. The color has a cool-to-neutral tendency, with little overt yellow or blue in its undertone. PMS 2274 C shows moderate chroma, rendering it visually distinct without being overly vivid or flashy. The undertone is straightforward and grassy, with little complexity or visible secondary hue. The color may be sensitive to finish sheen: higher gloss finishes will increase perceived brightness, while matte finishes can subdue its vibrancy.

PMS 2274 C is operationally effective where a clear, defined green is needed to support branding, wayfinding, or marketing environments. Its lightness helps maintain readability and visual pop, even on larger surfaces. When using this color, evaluate finish and lighting conditions, as both will influence apparent brightness and chromaticity. Unlike darker or more muted greens, PMS 2274 C maintains clarity but may reveal surface irregularities if applied with insufficient coverage; proper surface prep and uniform application are recommended to ensure consistency.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2274 C

What does it mean to order PMS 2274 C as a paint match?

Ordering PMS 2274 C as a paint match means you are purchasing paint mixed to visually match the Pantone PMS 2274 C standard color reference. The Pantone PMS code defines a target color for brand consistency across materials. It is not a recipe, coating formula, or specification of finish or gloss. Always evaluate final color appearance using a physical Pantone guide and a real paint sample, as finish and substrate may impact results.

How should I use samples of PMS 2274 C in brand approval workflows?

For PMS 2274 C, always order a small sample before any large or final production run, especially for brand displays or environments. Test the sample on the actual substrate and evaluate it in the intended lighting conditions. This ensures the paint delivers the desired visual outcome under real-world factors. Gain approval from brand stakeholders using these real samples before moving forward with full-scale ordering.

How does surface texture affect the look of PMS 2274 C in paint?

Surface texture influences how PMS 2274 C will appear once painted. Smoother surfaces reflect light more evenly and maintain a consistent, clean look. Textured or uneven substrates can cause shadowing or slight color shifts, making PMS 2274 C look lighter, darker, or less consistent. Always consider the substrate finish and perform a test application to confirm appearance before production.

What steps do I follow to order PMS 2274 C paint on MyPerfectColor?

To order PMS 2274 C paint, start by choosing the desired paint type such as spray paint or paint pen. Next, select the required sheen or finish and specify the quantity you need. Review your project requirements, including substrate and application method, to ensure you select the correct options. If in doubt, start with a sample size to confirm appearance in your environment before placing larger orders.

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2274 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
