PMS 2260 C is part of the Pantone Matching System collection, commonly referenced for brand, display, and marketing environments requiring exact color communication. The color presents as a saturated, moderate-brightness green with a discernible yellow influence, offering a clean, energetic, and fresh effect. It typically appears technical, lively, and modern, especially where color standards demand consistency across fabricated materials and substrates.

PMS 2260 C displays a light to medium appearance; the stated LRV of 57.63 indicates moderate reflectance. The color tends toward the warmer side of green, with a visible yellow undertone. PMS 2260 C is moderately saturated, providing distinct color presence without appearing overly neon or muted. The yellow undertone becomes more pronounced in strong lighting. The overall look is not highly sensitive to standard paint finishes but may shift slightly depending on gloss level.

PMS 2260 C works well in branded environments, trade show exhibits, marketing installations, and other display fabrications where precise, recognizable color is required. Users should note the moderate lightness and strong yellow-green undertone, which may shift slightly in different lighting conditions or under higher-gloss finishes. Compared to similar hues, it appears fresher and more chromatic without drifting into cool or blue-green territory.

Similar colors:
PMS 2270 C – Slightly lighter and has a more muted presence, reducing visual impact in high-visibility applications.

PMS 355 C – Similar in brightness but cooler, leaning more toward a classic green rather than yellow-green.

PMS 2290 C – Darker and deeper, resulting in a less vibrant, more subdued appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2260 C

What is the best way to compare PMS 2260 C paint samples for approval?

To evaluate PMS 2260 C paint samples accurately, compare all samples under the same lighting you expect in the final application space. Make sure your samples are applied to the same substrate material and finish type, since gloss and surface texture can affect how the yellow-green color appears. Allow the coatings to dry and fully cure before making a final decision, as color can shift during drying. Consistent comparison helps ensure you approve the most brand-representative result.

How do I order paint matched to Pantone PMS 2260 C from MyPerfectColor?

To order PMS 2260 C paint, start by selecting the desired paint format, such as spray paint, paint pen, or house paint, on the product page. Choose the appropriate finish (sheen) for your application, then select the quantity you need. Double check your selections and the Pantone PMS 2260 C color code to ensure accuracy before adding items to your cart. If you need guidance on format or finish, review application details or contact support for clarity. Accurate ordering helps achieve a brand-consistent result.

What should I know about the challenges of matching Pantone PMS 2260 C paint?

PMS 2260 C is a saturated yellow-leaning green that can be difficult to match exactly, especially across different materials and finishes. The strong color presence and moderate reflectance of PMS 2260 C may highlight even subtle differences due to lighting, gloss, or substrate. MyPerfectColor specializes in delivering close matches to Pantone colors, but a perfect match is not always achievable on every substrate. For critical brand applications, compare samples in context before final approval.

How do I choose the correct paint type for using PMS 2260 C indoors or outdoors?

When ordering PMS 2260 C paint, select the paint type based on your project''s environment. For indoor branding or displays, an interior paint format or architectural spray paint is appropriate. For outdoor signage or fabricated components exposed to the elements, select an exterior-rated paint to ensure suitable durability. Always verify your choice matches the performance needs of your installation to achieve lasting color consistency.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 2260 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
