PMS 2094 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, a global color-matching standard for branding, marketing displays, and identity-driven applications. Visually, PMS 2094 C presents as energetic, eye-catching, and expressive, with a distinctly modern and bold character. It is most frequently described as a vibrant magenta or pink-purple with strong color intensity. The color’s vibe is technical, playful, and assertive—well-suited to projects where standout branding is needed.

PMS 2094 C appears as a medium-dark magenta, with a light reflectance value (LRV) of 23.99, resulting in moderate brightness. The color has a cool tendency due to its dominant purple-magenta hue. PMS 2094 C displays high saturation, contributing to its strong, vivid appearance. The color carries slight blue-purple undertones, reinforcing its cool profile. PMS 2094 C shows finish sensitivity, with higher gloss increasing perceived chroma and brightness.

PMS 2094 C functions well in environments that demand visual attention, such as branded displays, signage, and marketing activations. It maintains its vibrancy in most lighting, though color appearance can shift under warm or low light. Because of its high saturation, uniform coverage may require additional paint coats or surface priming, especially when applied over contrasting substrates. In comparison to other magentas, PMS 2094 C is more assertive and distinctly cool, maintaining clarity without veering into deep purple or red-pink territory.

Similar colors:
PMS 219 C – Lighter and slightly warmer, with a more pink-forward profile and less bluish tone.

PMS 241 C – Darker and moderately less saturated, with more visible purple influence.

PMS 213 C – Lighter and less chromatic, with a softer appearance and lower color intensity.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2094 C

How does finish choice impact the appearance of Pantone PMS 2094 C in branding projects?

The finish selected for Pantone PMS 2094 C, such as gloss, satin, or matte, can noticeably affect how the color looks in real-world applications. A gloss finish will amplify vibrancy and perceived brightness, making PMS 2094 C appear even more saturated and lively, which can heighten visual impact for branded displays. In contrast, a matte finish will mute reflections and reduce chroma, leading to a subtler and sometimes slightly darker appearance. When matching PMS 2094 C for marketing or display use, specify the desired finish early to align expectations and ensure visual consistency across all components. Changes in finish can create perceptible shifts compared to brand standards, especially under varied lighting.

Why should I order a sample of Pantone PMS 2094 C before a full rollout for my brand environment?

Sampling Pantone PMS 2094 C before committing to a full order is recommended for any workflow that requires brand approval or visual signoff. Testing a physical paint sample lets you evaluate the color on your actual substrate and under installed lighting conditions, reducing the risk of acceptance issues. Brand standards for PMS 2094 C are based on visual appearance, so confirming the result in context can help avoid costly rework and support efficient decision-making. This is especially important for highly saturated colors like PMS 2094 C, which can show strong finish sensitivity and may need tailored application techniques for uniform results.

What should I expect for durability when using Pantone PMS 2094 C as spray paint?

The durability of Pantone PMS 2094 C matched spray paint depends on several factors: the type of paint selected, surface preparation quality, use of primers or topcoats, and the project environment. For high traffic or exposed applications, choose a paint type designed for your conditions and follow all substrate prep guidelines. For branding and display uses, a compatible topcoat may help extend appearance retention, especially for vivid colors like PMS 2094 C. Always evaluate and specify products based on the intended use setting to ensure the required longevity.

How do I choose the right paint for Pantone PMS 2094 C in interior versus exterior branding applications?

To select the best paint for Pantone PMS 2094 C, begin by considering the exposure the painted surfaces will face. For indoor branding, displays, or fixtures, use an interior paint that matches project needs for appearance and durability. For outdoor installs, select an exterior-grade paint to withstand weather and UV. Confirm that the desired format, such as spray paint or specialty coatings, is suitable for the environment. Making the right choice ensures PMS 2094 C maintains both its color impact and longevity in the intended setting.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 2094 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
