PMS 219 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color recognized for its bold, highly chromatic magenta appearance. As part of the Pantone PMS collection, this color delivers a vivid, energetic, and contemporary visual effect, frequently aligned with lively or attention-getting brand environments. The color's vibe is bright, assertive, saturated, modern, and distinct, contributing to impactful display and marketing executions where clear color alignment is required.
PMS 219 C presents as a relatively dark vivid pink, reflecting its low LRV of 19.27. The color has a strong cool tendency, rooted in its magenta undertone. This color is highly saturated and visually intense. PMS 219 C exhibits a pronounced magenta undertone, free from visible yellow or orange influence. The color is sensitive to finish: higher-gloss finishes may amplify perceived chroma and brightness, while matte finishes may slightly mute the vibrancy.
PMS 219 C is often used in display fabrication for brands requiring high-energy magenta or hot pink elements. This color is frequently specified for product packaging, point-of-sale, and experiential marketing where visual impact and color recognition are operational priorities.
PMS 219 C is most effective when employed where high visibility and brand color integrity are paramount, such as pop-up retail, brand activations, and prototype models. It is important to account for the color's notable saturation, as this may require additional coats for robust hide and uniform coverage, especially over contrasting substrates. Lighting and finish selection can have a pronounced effect on final appearance—evaluate both physical paint and Pantone print swatches in their intended environment to ensure alignment. Relative to similar magenta-based colors, PMS 219 C remains more vivid and cool, standing apart from less saturated pinks or those with a warmer base.

The surface texture you choose for Pantone PMS 219 C can significantly change how the color looks in real applications. A smooth, glossy surface will make PMS 219 C appear brighter and may accentuate its vivid magenta quality, while a matte or rough surface can mute the vibrancy and make the color appear slightly darker. Because PMS 219 C is highly saturated, even small changes in surface reflectivity or shadowing can impact color consistency. Always evaluate samples of PMS 219 C on the actual substrate and texture planned for your project to ensure the color delivers the required visual impact for your brand environment.
To achieve uniform results when applying Pantone PMS 219 C across large surfaces, use consistent application methods and proper surface preparation. Because PMS 219 C is a saturated color with low LRV, it may require more than one coat to completely hide the underlying surface, especially if the substrate is a contrasting color. Plan for sufficient material to allow for full, even coverage and avoid stopping mid-panel or mid-surface, as this can cause patchiness or visible lap marks. Applying PMS 219 C under stable lighting ensures you catch uneven areas before the coating dries. Always let each coat dry fully before deciding if more coverage is needed.
When evaluating Pantone PMS 219 C samples for brand or project approval, place all samples on the same substrate type and review them under lighting conditions that match the final environment. Ensure the samples are fully dry or cured before assessing color, as PMS 219 C can look different when wet. Avoid comparing gloss samples with matte or viewing samples at an angle that exaggerates sheen. For the most accurate evaluation, reference a physical Pantone PMS 219 C guide or swatch alongside your painted sample to confirm visual alignment before final sign-off.
Shipping transit times for Pantone PMS 219 C paint depend on your delivery location and the shipping method selected during checkout. Most paint products require custom mixing and safe packaging, which can impact when your order ships. If your project has a specific deadline, order early and allow extra time for production and transit, especially for large orders or specialized formats. During busy periods or for expedited shipping, check available options and estimated delivery dates before placing your PMS 219 C order to avoid project delays.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 219 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
