PMS 2035 C is a Pantone PMS collection color known for its strong, lively presence suited to commanding attention in marketing, display fabrication, and industrial design contexts. This color carries a distinctly energetic and modern vibe, with a bold character that supports environments requiring strong brand alignment and high visual impact. The color is visually dynamic, engaging, and designed for clarity and visibility.
PMS 2035 C presents as a noticeably dark and intense color, with an LRV of 14.38 indicating relatively low reflectance. The color displays a warm tendency, strongly anchored in the reddish-orange segment of the spectrum. PMS 2035 C exhibits very high saturation, resulting in a distinctly vivid and bold appearance. The undertone of this color is predominantly red with a secondary orange influence, producing a forward and assertive presence. The color’s perceived intensity may appear even stronger in glossy finishes and could become slightly muted or deeper in matte or low-sheen finishes. PMS 2035 C can shift noticeably under different light sources, especially in mixed or indirect lighting.
PMS 2035 C works well where brand visibility and emotional impact are the primary goals, such as in branded environments, display elements, and concept models. Pay close attention to lighting conditions; strong ambient light can amplify the vibrancy, while lower light may suppress chroma. The highly saturated formulation may require multiple coats for full hide, especially over lighter substrates. Compared to similar colors, PMS 2035 C remains distinctly warm and red, offering more intensity and presence without the brown or muted qualities sometimes found in neighboring hues.

PMS 186 C is cooler and shows more red, resulting in a less vibrant and slightly more subdued impression.

Pantone books present PMS 2035 C using printed ink on paper, which serves as an industry reference. The visual result of PMS 2035 C in paint can look different due to factors like sheen, substrate, and lighting. Highly saturated colors such as PMS 2035 C often appear more vivid or deeper in glossy finishes and can become muted in matte or low-sheen applications. For the most accurate check, sample PMS 2035 C paint on the actual material and finish you plan to use and view it under real project lighting conditions.
Ordering PMS 2035 C as a standard Pantone match is most suitable for brand-driven projects where visual alignment with the Pantone reference is the priority. This includes marketing displays, branded environments, signage, exhibit components, and concept models. If your goal is to communicate a consistent brand experience or match an established standard for marketing purposes, a standard match to PMS 2035 C is appropriate. For formal approval settings or multi-material installs, consider sampling first to confirm results under project conditions.
PMS 2035 C is a unique Pantone standard and does not have a reliable or official cross-reference in most other paint brands. Each paint manufacturer has its own palette and formulation approach, so even close-looking colors may differ in undertone, saturation, or brightness. This is especially true for vivid hues like PMS 2035 C. For brand consistency, always specify PMS 2035 C directly by code and sample the result as needed.
To achieve a consistent appearance when using PMS 2035 C on large surfaces, plan for even application and adequate coverage. Highly saturated colors like PMS 2035 C may require multiple coats, especially over light or variable backgrounds. Use the same application method and sheen across the area, mixing enough product to finish the full surface. Work in manageable sections and avoid stopping mid-panel to reduce visible overlap. Always preview results on the real substrate and under realistic lighting before final production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
