PMS 1795 C is a vivid, highly saturated red from the Pantone Matching System (Pantone PMS collection). It is often described as dynamic, straightforward, and impactful, with a distinctly warm and energetic vibe. This color is favored in contexts where strong visual presence and unmistakable brand differentiation are operational needs.

PMS 1795 C appears moderately dark, with a low LRV of 16.02, meaning it absorbs a significant amount of light.

The color has a distinctly warm undertone, influenced by its relatively lower hue angle and pronounced chroma.

PMS 1795 C exhibits high saturation, which contributes to its visual boldness and strong color identity.

This color displays an orange-red base, making it lean warmer compared to neutral or blue-based reds.

PMS 1795 C can be sensitive to finish selection; glossy or high-sheen finishes tend to enhance its vibrancy, while matte finishes can subdue its intensity.

PMS 1795 C works well in applications that require brand-aligned, high-impact color presence, especially for displays, signage, and temporary environments.

Users should verify color appearance in the intended lighting and finish, as its intensity can shift noticeably under varying conditions.

Due to its high saturation and low LRV, application to lighter substrates may require multiple coats for full coverage and accurate color payout.

Compared to similar reds, PMS 1795 C maintains a warmer, more vivid quality without drifting toward brownness or magenta tones.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 485 C – A similar red that is lighter and slightly more orange, offering more brightness in comparison.
  • PMS 186 C – A red that is slightly deeper and a bit cooler, trending toward a classic red appearance.
  • PMS 485 U – Matches PMS 485 C in color but optimized for uncoated substrates, generally appearing less saturated on such surfaces.
  • PMS 187 C – A red that is darker and contains a subtle blue undertone, delivering a cooler impression.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 1795 C

What exactly does it mean to order paint matched to Pantone PMS 1795 C?

Ordering a paint matched to Pantone PMS 1795 C means you are requesting a color formulated to visually match the Pantone PMS 1795 C reference under standard lighting. A Pantone PMS code specifies a standardized color target, not a ready-made formula, specific finish, or coating process. The result is a paint designed to approximate the visual appearance of PMS 1795 C, but differences in sheen, substrate, or lighting may affect final appearance. If brand approval is critical, always confirm color in your actual setting before launching production.

Do I need a primer when painting with Pantone PMS 1795 C?

Primer use for Pantone PMS 1795 C depends on your surface, the chosen paint type, and your project's performance requirements. Applying PMS 1795 C to light or porous substrates usually benefits from a primer to promote adhesion and provide a uniform base. Highly saturated reds like PMS 1795 C may also need multiple coats for complete coverage. Review your substrate and paint type for primer recommendations before ordering to achieve consistent, brand-accurate results.

What is the best way to judge if my Pantone PMS 1795 C color sample is correct before approval?

To accurately assess if your sample matches Pantone PMS 1795 C, always evaluate the paint once it has fully dried or cured. Make comparisons under the lighting conditions where the project will be viewed and on the same substrate intended for final application. Differences in finish (matte, gloss) and lighting can shift how PMS 1795 C appears, so align these conditions for the most reliable approval process.

How much area will a spray can of Pantone PMS 1795 C typically cover?

Each spray can of Pantone PMS 1795 C typically covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat on smooth, primed surfaces. However, because PMS 1795 C is a highly saturated red with lower hiding power, you may need more than one coat for uniform coverage, especially over light or contrasting backgrounds. Consider the number of coats, surface texture, and substrate color when estimating how many cans you need for your project.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 1795 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 1795 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 1795 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How much area will one spray can cover? And what is Pantone PMS 1795 C spray paint made of?

MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 1795 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 1795 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
