PMS 2006 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, which is an industry-standard for color communication across print, display, and environmental graphics. This color has a bright, energetic, and sharply modern vibe. Its profile is defined by a vibrant yellow-green hue, high chroma, moderate-light reflectance, and a distinctly clean, high-visibility character. The color is often used by professionals aiming to achieve strong visual presence in display and branding contexts.

PMS 2006 C appears moderately light, with an LRV of 54.18. The color maintains a cool to neutral tendency, with distinctly greenish-yellow undertones. This color exhibits high saturation, imparting a vivid and assertive appearance. The undertone is clearly green-leaning with yellow influence; it does not shift toward earthy or muted tones. PMS 2006 C is more sensitive to finish and lighting conditions than muted greens, with gloss finishes increasing perceived vibrancy.

PMS 2006 C is operationally effective for applications where maximum visibility and a contemporary statement are priorities. It performs best on smooth, well-prepared surfaces in settings with consistent lighting, as shifts in finish or ambient light can intensify or dull its vibrancy. Users should anticipate that highly saturated colors may require multiple coats for full coverage, especially over contrasting substrates. Compared to less saturated greens, PMS 2006 C delivers a markedly brighter, more attention-grabbing result but can be visually overwhelming in large uninterrupted fields or under very warm lighting.

Similar colors:
PMS 375 C: Greener and slightly lighter, with less pronounced yellow, offering a more neutral green appearance.

PMS 389 C: Lighter and somewhat less chromatic, resulting in a softer and less bold effect.

PMS 802 C: Also highly vivid but leans warmer and more fluorescent, further increasing perceived intensity.

PMS 2290 C: Slightly lighter and less saturated, with a subtler impact than PMS 2006 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2006 C

How does surface texture affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 2006 C when used for branding or displays?

The perceived color of Pantone PMS 2006 C can change significantly depending on the surface texture. Glossy, smooth surfaces will make PMS 2006 C appear more vivid and saturated, while matte or textured surfaces can make it look slightly lighter or more muted due to increased light scattering and shadowing. For consistent brand results, always evaluate PMS 2006 C on the actual substrate and finish you plan to use.

Are Pantone PMS 2006 C paint orders custom made, and can they be returned if the color or finish is not as expected?

Paint made to match Pantone PMS 2006 C is custom mixed for each order. Because it is made to your specifications, it cannot be returned or exchanged if the wrong type, finish, or format is ordered. To help ensure you get the results you need, carefully review the product format and sheen, and consider ordering a sample when color or finish confirmation matters. This is especially important for high-visibility branding or display projects.

What should I consider when using Pantone PMS 2006 C paint for pop-ups or retail environments?

When specifying PMS 2006 C for pop-ups or branded retail installations, assess how the color will appear under your lighting conditions and on your chosen substrates. Bright, highly saturated colors like PMS 2006 C can change appearance based on light quality and finish, and may require extra coats for even coverage. Sampling on the actual surface is recommended before large-scale use. Also consider durability needs so the color maintains a strong visual impact throughout the event or installation.

What special steps are needed to paint plastics with Pantone PMS 2006 C?

When applying PMS 2006 C to plastics or low-energy surfaces, proper surface preparation is critical for adhesion and color accuracy. Many plastics require a specific primer or surface treatment to accept paint, and results can vary between plastic types. Always test PMS 2006 C paint on your actual plastic substrate before full production to confirm compatibility, adhesion, and appearance. This step helps avoid unexpected issues with brand displays or marketing components.

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2006 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 2006 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2006 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
