Each paint manufacturer creates its own palette and formulas, so direct cross-references are rarely reliable, especially for vivid Pantone colors like PMS 802 C. Expect differences in hue, brightness, and finish if you try to substitute with a non-Pantone paint code.

Ordering paint matched to Pantone PMS 802 C means you are requesting a paint product formulated to visually match the PMS 802 C color reference as closely as possible. The Pantone code represents a color target only; it does not specify the paint's formula, finish, or application method. Always confirm the product type and finish best suited for your project since the PMS 802 C code governs the intended visual appearance, not the underlying coating technology or process.

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint in Pantone PMS 802 C is specific to the paint product and format you select, not the color code itself. To find the correct SDS, choose the product type on the product page and follow instructions to access the SDS library or download link. This ensures you receive the appropriate safety and application information for your chosen format.

For optimal coverage and color accuracy with Pantone PMS 802 C spray paint, apply several thin, even coats rather than one heavy coat. Allow adequate drying or flash time between coats as recommended by the product instructions. This approach helps achieve the color vibrance and uniformity critical for brand and display projects, especially with highly saturated fluoros like PMS 802 C.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
