Pantone™ PMS 7547 C

PMS 7547 C is a standardized color target from the Pantone PMS system, intended for brand and marketing use. Pantone PMS references do not specify the original coating's sheen, substrate, or process, so outcomes can vary between materials. As a result, ordering PMS 7547 C for touch-up work on existing finishes is not reliable; the match may not align with the appearance of the in-place product. For best results, use PMS 7547 C to achieve new, brand-consistent finishes rather than attempting to blend spot repairs on finished goods.

When applying PMS 7547 C to plastics or low-energy surfaces, keep in mind that surface types vary widely in how well they accept paint. Many plastics require a special primer or surface treatment for proper adhesion, and a Pantone match alone does not guarantee performance on every substrate. Always test PMS 7547 C on your actual material in production conditions, including primer and finish choices, before any full-scale use to ensure suitable adhesion and appearance.

The appearance of PMS 7547 C can change noticeably in different lighting environments. Because it is a very dark, muted blue, the color may appear almost black in low-light or indirect conditions. Different light sources can also shift the way PMS 7547 C is perceived, sometimes revealing subtle variations. To achieve accurate, brand-consistent results, always evaluate painted samples of PMS 7547 C in the intended environment and under the lighting that will be used in the final display.

A standard PMS 7547 C match is ideal for projects where the Pantone reference is specified as the brand target. This includes marketing displays, signage, exhibits, prototypes, and other applications where visual alignment to the Pantone code is the primary need. If your goal is to achieve brand consistency and impact using PMS 7547 C as the official color, ordering a standard match in formats such as spray paint, paint pens, or other paint types is appropriate.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
