PMS 2767 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) standard color recognized for its use in professional branding and signage. It is part of the Pantone PMS collection, frequently valued in marketing, display fabrication, and industrial design for its dark, controlled character. The vibe is stable, corporate, understated, cool, and technical.
PMS 2767 C appears very dark, with a low LRV of 1.56, resulting in minimal light reflectance. The color presents a cool tendency, dominated by blue-violet undertones. PMS 2767 C exhibits moderate saturation, appearing distinct but not overtly vivid. The undertone is primarily blue with subtle violet influence, yielding a sophisticated, almost ink-like character. This color can be finish-sensitive; a high-gloss finish may enhance its depth while a matte finish reduces perceptible richness.
PMS 2767 C is often used in corporate identity systems for primary logo marks, signage, branded environmental graphics, and uniforms where a dark blue with subtlety is preferred. The color is widely cited as a standard in higher education materials, governmental branding, and large-scale institutional wayfinding where a non-black, professional dark is required.
PMS 2767 C works well for situations that call for a deep, blue-based neutral rather than a true black. It is effective on displays, walls, and fabricated surfaces where a slight blue emphasis communicates professionalism and authority. When specifying, review both the lighting conditions and the intended finish, as this color may shift in apparent depth and undertone depending on gloss and ambient light. PMS 2767 C typically reads cooler and more muted than similar dark blues, which can minimize color flare or over-saturation in large fields or brand-centric environments.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Ordering Pantone PMS 2767 C in paint means that the paint is formulated to visually match the Pantone PMS 2767 C color target as defined by the Pantone Matching System. This code is a standardized color reference used for consistent color communication across print, plastics, coatings, and displays. It is not a specific paint formula or coating process. The result will be a visual match to the PMS 2767 C swatch in the selected paint type and sheen, but differences in substrate, lighting, and finish may affect the final appearance. Review samples in person whenever color approval is critical.
PMS 2767 C is a dark, moderately saturated blue-violet. While its depth offers good hide compared to bright or highly chromatic colors, achieving uniform coverage and true color will still require proper preparation. For best results, use a uniform, neutral basecoat and apply enough coats to reach even saturation, especially on light or high-contrast surfaces. Always test a sample area to confirm appearance and hide before starting full application. Coverage results can vary depending on paint type, surface, and application method.
The sheen level you select for PMS 2767 C will influence both perceived depth and color accuracy. A high-gloss or semi-gloss finish can intensify the deep, cool look of PMS 2767 C, while a matte or eggshell sheen will produce a more subdued, flatter effect. For large displays or surfaces viewed from a distance, lower sheen can help minimize glare and maintain color uniformity. Consider the viewing environment and substrate material when choosing a sheen, as finish differences may shift the undertone and overall visual impact of PMS 2767 C.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
