PMS 7495 C, part of the Pantone Matching System, is a controlled, muted green with a slightly earthy and understated character. This color is frequently characterized as natural, subdued, technical, intentional, and grounded. It is designed for applications demanding stability and a connection to organic or ecological themes without the visual intensity of brighter greens. PMS 7495 C’s tone supports clear brand differentiation where a strong but not overpowering green is needed.

PMS 7495 C presents as a medium-dark green (LRV 28.12). The color has a cool tendency, leaning distinctly toward yellow-green hues. PMS 7495 C is moderately saturated, offering noticeable chroma without being vibrant or neon. The undertone is muted olive, providing an earthy and natural impression. Finish and lighting strongly influence perceived warmth and depth; matte and satin finishes typically enhance the color’s muted aspect.

PMS 7495 C works well in brand environments and displays where a natural, stable green is desired without the brightness of more saturated greens. Carefully consider lighting—cool or natural daylight preserves the intended tone, while warm lighting can shift it toward a muddier olive. Surface preparation is important, as insufficient coverage or improper finish selection may amplify undertones or unevenness. In comparison to more vivid or pronounced greens, PMS 7495 C will offer a more controlled, neutral effect, minimizing visual distraction while anchoring compositions with a subtle organic note.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7495 C

How can I ensure I am ordering the correct version of Pantone PMS 7495 C for my project?

When specifying Pantone PMS 7495 C, always confirm the exact code and suffix required by your brand standards or project documentation. Pantone codes often include suffixes such as 'C' for coated or 'U' for uncoated, and the correct suffix ensures you match the intended reference standard. Ordering without confirming the full code can lead to unwanted color variance. Double check your source documentation before placing an order for PMS 7495 C paint to ensure accuracy.

What should I do to achieve a uniform finish when applying Pantone PMS 7495 C over a large surface?

To maintain a consistent look with Pantone PMS 7495 C on large surfaces, plan your application in complete, overlapping passes and avoid stopping mid-area. Use the same batch and product for the entire project when possible. Applying multiple thin coats rather than one heavy coat helps prevent patchiness, as does careful surface preparation. Always check coverage and appearance under the lighting conditions where your project will be viewed for brand consistency.

Can I substitute Pantone PMS 7495 C with a color from another paint brand collection?

Pantone PMS 7495 C is part of the Pantone Matching System, which is a unique color standard not directly interchangeable with other brands. Most paint brands use proprietary palettes, and there is rarely an exact match for vivid Pantone colors like PMS 7495 C. For projects where brand consistency is critical, always use products mixed to the Pantone code rather than relying on cross-references or similar-looking colors from another brand's collection.

Will Pantone PMS 7495 C require any special hide or undercoat strategy when used in paint?

Pantone PMS 7495 C, like many moderately saturated greens, may need more than one coat for full coverage, especially over high-contrast or uneven substrates. For best results, consider using a primer in a neutral or lightly tinted tone close to PMS 7495 C to help the color build evenly. Planning for two or more coats can improve uniformity and reduce the risk of visible underlayers affecting the final appearance. Always test coverage on a sample area before full application.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7495 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7495 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 7495 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 7495 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7495 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
