Pantone™ PMS 715 C

PMS 715 C is specified using the Pantone Matching System, which is a unique standard separate from other paint brands. Most paint companies have their own color palettes and numbering systems, so a direct match for PMS 715 C is not built into their collections. For a vivid and saturated color like PMS 715 C, differences in pigment bases, finish, or material can cause noticeable shifts. If your brand or project requires PMS 715 C, order by the Pantone code, not by attempting to find an equivalent.

When coating large areas with PMS 715 C, use the same application technique and product across all surfaces. Plan your work to keep a wet edge and avoid stopping halfway, as visible lap marks or color shifts can occur, especially with bold oranges like PMS 715 C. Apply multiple thin, even coats rather than one heavy coat. Always evaluate the painted area in final lighting conditions to confirm uniformity before sign-off or installation.

PMS 715 C is often specified as a brand target for fabricated signs, displays, or exhibit components to ensure consistency across projects and materials. Choosing paint or coatings matched specifically to PMS 715 C helps achieve a unified look. It is recommended to sample PMS 715 C on the actual substrate and in the intended finish before full production, as both material and sheen can affect the final appearance of this saturated orange.

PMS 715 C is a vivid, highly saturated orange that can require additional coats to achieve even coverage, especially on contrasting or dark substrates. For best results, apply a uniform white or light-colored primer as an undercoat. This helps prevent patchiness and improves the hide of the final color. Plan for at least two finish coats and check coverage under the actual lighting that will be used in the display or installation space.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
