PMS 716 C belongs to the Pantone PMS system, a collection widely used for color specification in branding, marketing, and industrial design. This color conveys a vivid, energetic, and assertive appearance with a notably warm and saturated vibe. Its moderate lightness (LRV 34.05) and high chroma ensure visibility and impact, making it suitable for applications that require high color recognition and vibrancy under a range of lighting conditions.
PMS 716 C presents as a mid-light to moderately dark orange, with LRV 34.05 providing noticeable presence without being overpowering. The color displays a pronounced warm tendency, dominated by orange-yellow hues. It demonstrates high saturation and chroma, resulting in a vivid, strongly colored appearance. The undertone is distinctly orange with an amber-yellow influence, omitting red overtone. The color’s brightness and vibrancy are sensitive to finish and lighting; gloss and direct lighting intensify its effect, while matte or diffuse lighting will mute it.
PMS 716 C is operationally effective when a brand or display requires assertive visual energy and high visibility. It is practical for wayfinding, packaging, point-of-sale displays, and branded environments where differentiation from muted backdrops is needed. When specifying or applying PMS 716 C, evaluate the color under intended lighting and finish. Highly saturated colors such as this may require attentive surface preparation and additional coats to achieve uniform coverage, especially over darker substrates. PMS 716 C holds its vibrancy better in high-gloss or semi-gloss finishes but may appear subdued in matte applications compared to similar hues.

Always confirm the exact Pantone PMS code, including any suffixes such as the 'C' in PMS 716 C, before ordering. Suffixes like C (coated), U (uncoated), or M (matte) can refer to differences in how the color appears on various substrates. Check your brand guidelines or the original Pantone reference to ensure PMS 716 C with the correct suffix is what you need for your branding, display, or fabrication work. Ordering the wrong code or suffix can result in a noticeable difference from your required standard.
Shipping transit times for Pantone PMS 716 C paint depend on your location and the shipping method you choose. If you have a tight marketing or installation deadline, plan ahead and allow time for both production and shipping. Expedited shipping options may be available, but always check lead times before placing your order to avoid delays for brand launches or event schedules.
Pantone PMS 716 C is specified as a brand color to deliver consistent, recognizable visual identity across marketing, signage, displays, and environments. Using PMS 716 C ensures that the branded orange looks the same, regardless of who produces or applies it, providing the coherent brand experience your organization expects. Consistent use of the correct Pantone PMS code helps maintain alignment with brand standards on all materials and surfaces.
Ordering a standard Pantone PMS 716 C color match is appropriate for most marketing, display, prototype, exhibit, and brand-facing installations where the visual alignment with the Pantone reference is your target. This approach is ideal when your primary goal is brand consistency and high-impact visual presentation, not matching pre-existing coatings on unknown substrates. Always verify with your project requirements or brand team that the PMS 716 C reference is correct for your intended application.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 716 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
