If your project is subject to handling, outdoor conditions, or high traffic, choosing a more durable topcoat can help extend the life of the finish. Always select the paint type and topcoat that matches your exposure needs and confirm performance under your intended use conditions.

To maintain color consistency with PMS 694 C on large areas, apply the paint using the same method across the entire surface, such as spraying in overlapping passes at a steady speed and distance. Plan for enough product to complete the area in one session if possible to prevent lap marks. Thin, even coats will reduce the risk of patchiness. For saturated hues like PMS 694 C, additional coats may be needed for full hide. Always inspect coverage under your actual lighting conditions during application.

Ordering paint for PMS 694 C requires using the exact Pantone code, including its suffix such as 'C' for coated. The suffix can indicate how the color appears on different materials or finishes and affects which reference standard is used for matching. Always check your brand guidelines or project documentation to confirm you are referencing the correct series. This helps avoid ordering the wrong color variation and ensures brand consistency.

When choosing PMS 694 C paint, select a paint type based on the installation environment. Use an interior grade if the display or component will be indoors and not exposed to weather, abrasion, or high humidity. Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
