Pantone™ PMS 682 C

PMS 682 C is a deep, moderately saturated purple that may require additional coats for uniform coverage. Highly saturated colors like PMS 682 C tend to have lower hide because of the pigments used to achieve vividness. For best brand-consistent results, plan for at least two coats, especially when applying over light or contrasting bases. Proper priming and even surface preparation also help achieve the intended color appearance.

The appearance of PMS 682 C can vary with changes in surface texture. Glossy or smooth surfaces will reflect more light and can make the purple appear deeper and somewhat more saturated, while matte or textured surfaces may diffuse light and cause the color to look slightly lighter or more muted. Uneven or rough textures can also create visual shadowing, potentially affecting brand consistency. For projects where uniform color perception is critical, use a consistently prepared surface and specify finishes that align with your visual standard.

Shipping transit times for PMS 682 C Pantone-matched paint depend on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Custom-matched paints are made to order, so you should also factor in production time in addition to transit time. If your branding or marketing schedule is time-sensitive, plan ahead and consider expedited shipping options to ensure your project is not delayed.

PMS 682 C paint is intended for brand color reproduction in marketing, display, and prototyping applications, not for touch-up of existing coatings. When a precise touch-up is needed, especially to blend with an existing part or finish, you should send a physical part for a custom match. This ensures the paint aligns with the actual appearance of your specific component rather than just the Pantone reference color.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
