PMS 634 C is a standardized color in the Pantone PMS collection, developed for consistent reproduction across a wide range of print, paint, and fabricated materials. The visual impression is assertive, modern, and technical with a distinctly cool presence. It is characterized by strong chroma, low light reflectance, and a vivid mid-blue tone, making it practical for projects demanding a noticeable but controlled blue.
PMS 634 C presents as a deep, dark blue with notably low light reflectance (LRV 8.01). The color is cool-toned, registering in the blue spectrum with no significant warm undertone. It maintains high saturation, resulting in strong chromatic intensity. The undertone is clean and distinctly blue, without prominent green or violet shifts. The color may show perceptible variation under different lighting and finish conditions.
PMS 634 C is operationally suited for applications where a bold, highly saturated blue is required, especially in brand and display settings where color accuracy is critical. It works well on smooth, clean substrates in controlled lighting conditions. Care should be taken to test the color under installed lighting, as both lighting temperature and paint finish (gloss/matte) can influence perceived depth and vibrancy. Compared to other deep blues in the PMS range, PMS 634 C tends to retain its blue clarity without shifting toward purple or appearing muted.
Similar colors:
PMS 286 C is a slightly lighter and more vivid blue, often perceived as brighter and marginally warmer.
PMS 2935 C is a more intense, chromatic blue, appearing noticeably more vibrant under exposure to direct light.
PMS 295 C is a darker and more muted navy, lacking the chromatic intensity of PMS 634 C and appearing more subdued.

It is important to confirm the exact Pantone code, including suffixes like the ''C'' in PMS 634 C, when placing an order. Different suffixes in Pantone PMS codes can indicate distinct color targets or material intended use. Always check your brand guidelines or documentation to ensure you are referencing the correct code, as ordering the wrong variation may result in a mismatch with your intended color standard.
Proper surface preparation helps ensure good color accuracy and finish with PMS 634 C paint. Start by cleaning the surface to remove dust, grease, or oils. If needed, lightly scuff glossy or slick surfaces to improve adhesion. Make sure the substrate is dry and clean before painting. It is best practice to test the color on a small area first, especially for brand-critical applications, to check appearance under your specific lighting and conditions.
PMS 634 C is a standardized Pantone color developed for maximum consistency, but it does not have direct equivalents in other paint brands. Cross-referencing vivid Pantone colors like PMS 634 C into different paint systems is rarely exact because each brand has a unique palette and color formulation. For projects where brand color accuracy is required, always specify PMS 634 C by its Pantone code rather than selecting by visual similarity or approximate matches.
The transit time for PMS 634 C paint will depend on your delivery location and the shipping method you choose at checkout. Production lead times can also apply, especially for custom-formulated or made-to-order paint. To avoid issues meeting project timelines, it is recommended to place your order well in advance of any deadlines and to consider expedited shipping if timing is critical for brand or display installations.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 634 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
